Our host was fantastic - we arrived earlier than we were supposed to and she invited us to come in - our room (the King Room) was beautiful and looked out onto the garden. The gardens were gorgeous and the owner even let us use her own personal bicycle because the guest bicycles were already in use. This is a really quiet location and lovely for biking around the countryside and visiting WWI sites. Breakfast was abundant and delicious - homemade jams, cheeses, breads and pastries, eggs, fre.
todos opiniões » The owner was very friendly. She was onsite and was happy to share local info with us. She prepared a wonderful full breakfast for us. The room was modern and superclean. Wifi signal was strong. I will book here again. The town was also beautiful and interesting. The shopkeepers were happy and helpful. The sense of pride in thier town was evident, the architecture is something to see. We loved our stay at Villa Vanilla - Christa couldn't have been more helpful. The room & bathroom was lovely and the food was brilliant - what a breakfast!! Unbeatable value for money - we will definitely be back, both to lovely Ypres and to Villa Vanilla. It was like being a guest in Christa's home - log fire in the evenings, free tea and coffee with an honesty system for other drinks, and enough places to sit in the garden that every guest could sit out there at once and enjoy the beautiful garden. Very nice and neat house. The landlady was very helpful and we could lend bikes to go into town. As it is around 3km outside of Ieper it's not very comfortable to reach with public transport though. Breakfast has been excellent. The lovely hosts, their beautiful house and gardens and also the sumptious breakfasts easily the best we have had so far in Europe. We will definitely stay there again we only had one night but next time would stay for more.. -Very close to town center but on a country road. -Outstanding hospitality and charming breakfast setting with great food selection -Very clean and comfortable accommodations -Adequate off street parking, no fee. The Hotel was immaculate. Very friendly owner. Very convenient to Ypres town centre. It was tipping down with rain when i went but still managed to walk to the centre in 20 minutes. Lovely breakfast too. Villa Vanilla was everything you could wish for, clean, friendly, welcoming and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent, beautifully presented and more than adequate. Everything really: the landlady is extremely friendly, the room was spacious, the bathroom had a superb, very large bath-tub, the breakfast was outstanding including the fine table decorations and china. Lovely and comfortable b&b, we were made very welcome. The breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day. It is a great base to explore Ypres and would definately stay again. Very friendly and helpful host who provided a most enjoyable breakfast. Tea and cake served in the garden is well above the norm. Parking and lovely garden completed the pleasure. I have got to say this is BEST B&B my Wife and I have ever stayed in the owner was the most charming Host you could expect to meet the House and Breakfast were perfect. very helpful lady .The lounge was great with a real fire so very cosy.Yummy apple cake .Great breakfast .Handy to town.Probley the best B and B we have ever stayed in . It was a pleasant walk to the Menin Gate from Villa Vanilla. The room had double glazing so was quiet. Bed clean and comfortable and Owners very obliging. For some people it might be a disadvantage that it is about 1.5km out of downtown, but for us that was excellent as wanted to bike everywhere and were therefore closer to the surrounding country roads. It is still part of the town, but just not ideal for anyone who wants to be able to step out their door and find a cafe. There was no possibility to pay with credit card or Maestro and as the cash machine around the corner didn't work, we had to go all the way back into town to fetch money. Quite a walk out of town but manageable. As it is on the outskirts of Leper, it is not easy to find. But once found, one can be in 5 minutes by car in the town-centre. There is nothing to dislike about the Villa Vanilla. Nothing. nothing. Nothing. nothing to dislike. Leaving!!. everything was good. Absolutely nothing. The fact I only stayed one night! could spend a week here. the beds were a bit soft. Hot water for the shower ran out on two of the three mornings. Nothing.
