This traditional, family-run inn is located directly on Lake Wolfgang, on the road between St. Gilgen and Strobl. Guests can swim, fish and use a rowboat at the private beach. Seegasthof Gamsjaga’s restaurant serves Austrian cuisine and Salzkammergut specialities such as fish from the lake and apple strudel. There is a big lakeside terrace in summer. Guests of the Gamsjaga can use a free internet terminal. The surrounding area offers ideal conditions for many activities, including sailing, fishing, hiking, Nordic walking and diving (diving school next door). The Zwölferhorn Cable Car is 5 minutes by car and Bad Ischl can be reached by car in 20 minutes. Salzburg is 35 km away.

There´s a very beautiful lake next to the house (restaurant part), the room was nice, clean and much bigger than we expected :) . Breakfast was very good and they even had a little playground for children. I would certainly stay there again next time!. Location, on the side of the lake, we had one room with direct view to the lake, was absolutely nice! The hotel has great decordation, special and nice style. Might not very easy if take public transportation.

The lakeside breakfast setting and Gudrun who ran the evening meals with precision. the staff, the room,the kitchen, the foods, the trip possibilities. everything the food the staff the place. delicious meal and nice atomosphere. The lake, the room and everything. It was avery good experience. The hotel is right by the road. This could be a problem during busy season. For us was no problem. The views of the mountains were fantastic! The room was very clean. It is a nice place in the Alps; with all necessary facilities, outside of urban area of local towns. Location - directly at the lake. Friendly staff. - Location - just by lake side - Good breakfast. eggs for breakfast. The reception lady was a bit rude, she asked me to pay in advance. When i asked if we can have dinner there since we did not order through letsbookhotel.com in advance, she made strange laughs, and hotel staffs not willing to help us to translate / explain a bit the menu. Minor point, but the menu wasn't in English so, at dinner (which was superb!), we may have missed something which we would have enjoyed!...However,definitely didn't spoil our enjoyment of Seegasthof Gamsjaga...We LOVED it!. Road noise and when Gudrun wasn't on duty the service was not as good. none. nothing special. No kettle for hot water in the room. Breakfast specially for vegetarians needs to be taken good care of. There was no check in and check out. It was very casual and no one seemed to be around most of the time in evenings and mornings. Staff could be nicer to gests, especially if they are from different country. We had a not pleasant surprise at checkout because we had to pay additional 5 Euros for breakfast for kinds which are 2 and 5 years. And this was not as information or counted in our reservation especially that is usual for kinds of this age to eat for free. One can ask him self, really what they can eat. The highway right next to the place makes significant noise, when the windows are shut there is no noise but then you can not breath. The worst wienerschnitzel ever. No wifi. - Lakeside, but water not kept clean there, so could not be used for swimming - Dinner options - not much for Vegetarians and Non-red meat eaters. the beds were terrible.
