Very welcoming & accomodating hotel manager, (especially towards motorcyclists), beautiful & peaceful setting by the river, amazing food with friendly waiters in the restaurant. The double showers with great water pressure are heavenly! Though a bit more expensive, we loved the larger king rooms with plenty of space for all our (motorcycling) gear & to entertain a couple of friends in for a coffee. Overall highly recommended.

Staff was very enthusiastic and always went the extra mile. Rooms were small but very nice and clean. Liked the ability to walk out of the room onto a porch and then onto the grounds with the Yarra River nearby. Nice atmosphere, very comfy bed. Big room and bathroom. All staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and able to give good information about surrounding area. Will be returning for another stay. Love the king size bed. It was so comfortable. Loved the breakfast; first class quality and the professional waiters. I loved the peaceful serenity I am planning to visit again. Friendly Italian inkeep. Though we had the quietest rooms on the premises, you could still hear people walking back & forth in their heels on tiles in bathroom next door. This didn't dampen our enjoyment though as the rooms are still reasonably private & there are so many great attributes to this place. We would have liked a small fridge in the room - I believe these are being installed soon. need a real coffee machine. There were times that the staff coordination in the restaurant was not up to the quality of the rest of the hotel. The night we ate there, the restaurant allowed too many diner to come at one time and the kitchen became overwhelmed and the wait staff was not prepared to handle it. Organization was a bit lacking. Breakfast was wonderful. Nothing to report. The toilet paper was not replaced on our last day. ( a little annoying lucky there were tissues) Parking for guest has not been considered when there was a large function. Strangers from the large function sitting outside our room discussing relationship issues whilst under the influence late at night. Rooms are towards the small side but good. Slightly noisy if full since many rooms in hallway. No cappuccinos. Minor quibble but I hope when we return they will have espresso coffee. Noisy on a wooden floor. Heard other guests next door. Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that happens in rooms around you and out in the halls. We were woken by staff talking, guests talking, any bit of noise.
