Aaronlee Retreat is located on the top of Tamborine Mountain in the Gold Coast Hinterland, with amazing views of the Gold Coast and surrounding mountains. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about the local attractions and activities. Aaronlee is nicely tucked away from the busyness of the town but close enough to be convenient. Situated on the side of the mountain you can see Gold Coast in the distance from one corner but otherwise you will feel like you're in a delightful country retreat. Ian, our host, couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. The accommodation was very comfortable and the breakfast, which we enjoyed cooking ourselves, was delicious. The late July evenings were a bit chilly so the electric blankets were a real treat! We spent a couple of very relaxing days in a perfect location and will definitely return.
todos opiniões » We loved the apartment - nice kitchen and living room set up. Our view to Gold Coast was excellent and we enjoyed our meals on the barbie! It was fun to feed Bonnie and Honey - the shetland ponies, and gaze at Patrick, the alpaca. Ian, our host, was kind and a great source of information for things to do and places to go at Mount Tamborine. The area is lovely, the view is great, and the facilities are very nice and clean/well maintained. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We rented an efficiency and were surprised at how large it was. The bed and sofa were very comfortable. Eggs, bacon, bread and butter were left in our fridge for each morning. Aaronlee was a great place to stay with my daughter. She loved the pony's and the alpaca. The staff were very friendly and helpful, providing us with great info on what to do and where to go. Complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. Thank you.. We will be back. my partner Charles and i stayed at aaronlee for 3 nights recently and found the place was truly wonderful the location is spectacular with fantastic views and Ian the host couldnt have been more helpful we would recommend it to anyone :)we would definately return. My son loved the animals at the retreat. We woke to Kookaburras morning call, and my son loved the shetland ponies and alpaca on the premesis. My favourite part was having our BBQ bacon and eggs breakfast outside watching the clouds rise from beneath us. The setting is superb: mountain top with a view towards Surfers one way and a view inland the other. Extremely quiet; pleasant, clean facilities with a rustic charm; delightful owner/host. Tariff included a generous cooked breakfast which was delicious. Very friendly & picturesque. It was very clean and comfortable. Plenty to do in the surrounding area. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will have no hesitation in recommending it to our family & friends. We will certainly stay there again. Tastefully decorated, large, very comfortable studio room with everything provided, including a hairdrier. Extremely peaceful - not a sound at night. A great place to unwind! Ian, our genial host, did everything to ensure our stay was a happy one. The Spa-suite we booked had 3 rooms which together were 1/2 the size of our house! Very spacious. The location is well out of town so you need a car but the views down to the Gold coast superb. Lot of wildlife and birds - a photographer's dream. My partner and I loved our three-night stay at Aaronlee Retreat - its quiet seclusion and stunning views made for a very relaxing holiday. It would be hard to find anything to dislike about Aaronlee. It is away from the congestion of Mt. Tamborine, so if you like being in the middle of the action, this isn't the place for you, but if you want to relax and enjoy nature, it's perfect. Nothing in particular. While appreciating that breakfast was provided, we would have preferred a mix of cereal/bacon and egg, rather than bacon and egg every morning - we were there for 4 days. Nothing!. pillows & bed a touch too firm but not uncomfortable. Some items in the bathroom were looking a little tatty in places with some missing tiles etc. Some modernisation would improve the unit [I believe that is happening in the very near future]. loved everthing. Can't think. I really liked it. A little bit away from most things but not a significant inconvenience. Lack of bench space for cooking breakfast. Nothing negative about the apartment. no laundry facility. Bathroom needed a little tlc & a little paint here&there would spruce it up to Excellent Accomodation. Needs tissues in room. Shower tray holds water. Some smell coming from the septic tank (I guess) in the morning. We went for our 39th wedding anniversary and thought we'd booked something special. A B&B place. The breakfast was cook your own (bacon, eggs and bread supplied). There was a notice that if you did not wash up there was a $25.00 charge to your credit card. It was advertised as the best place, when in fact we found it lacked any special wow factor.(it was a 4 star place) It was supposed to have a log fire when it had a smelly gas heater (imitation log fire).
