1920's atmosphere, particularly the lounge room with fireplace, period paintings and decorations. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our holiday enjoyable. The included breakfast each morning was very enjoyable and a good way to start the day. They were happy to give advice on what to do and where to eat and we liked their laid back nature. The hotel itself is old and quaint, like something from a movie! We loved the furniture, the fireplaces, pool table and the bar. We enjoyed a drink there before heading out to dinner. The location is ideal, beside the RSL and a quick walk to the centre of town. Hotel Blue's public areas are the most traveller friendly, beautiful and inviting I have ever seen. True old world charm. The staff are warm and accommodating, the location and pricing great and the included breakfast was delicious. We will certainly go there again. The staff were helpful and friendly. Trying to get luggage to the rooms was difficult. Room is too small. too small a room for three occupants uncomfortable single bed in room for three spa and pool shabby and cold room and bathroom shabby (torn curtains, wallpaper peeling off, old bathroom facilities). Room was dirty, seems cleaner never cleaned under the bed and around the cabinet, very old wardrobe, big spider came out of wardrobe where scared my wife and she couldn't sleep all night. Timber flooring was noisy, very old and dirty carpet, two double bed in very small room, will not go back there and will not recommended to anyone. the standard of the room was dire,not big enough,paper hanging off walls,window at back of bed didn't close,very dated decor.not what was on the internet site when booked,unable to offer another when asked.room 18.
