We are from Italy, and we traveled to Australia for a long reportage. We stayed 2 days in Cronulla at Guesthouse 83 and we enjoy the stop. When we arrived we met Mr Kevin, caretaker at the Guesthouse and he was very kind with us. We had a large room, on upper floor with 2 big windows, so we get sun all day long, and a nice light green color on the walls. I booked Guesthouse 83 for my husband to stay at while he was doing weekend courses in Gymea & Caringbah. All up he has stayed there about 7 times.
I originally chose Guesthouse 83 because it was cheap and in close proximity to the training venues, however even when other well priced options came up in future weeks, we decided to stick with Guesthouse 83 because the staff were so friendly and accommodating, booking was so easy, and breakfast and dinner were provided.
If you are looking for.
Great to come home from a hard days work to a home cooked meal. Its close to the beach. Friendly and helpful staff.

Like others, my husband did say that he found the room was cold. That said, it is the middle of winter... Pack warmer clothes for night and I'm sure you will be fine.
Noise from road, lack of insect screens on windows (had to be open as no air conditioningand see noise above) fact that only one shared bathroom on 1st floor had lighting at night meaning everyone was trying to use that toilet.
very basic room, no access to drinking water, pillows flat, no fly screens on windows, no parking, very cold and cramped breakfast area.
