Extremely helpful, friendly and smiling Receptionist; very clean and comfortable with good facilities. Stayed on 1st floor at back - very very quiet and private Easy walk to Dickson shops and restaurants. We would definitely recommend and stay here whenever in Canberra. Friendly welcoming staff, good-sized comfortable room and bathroom. Microwave is a great plus. Continental breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Free fast internet with easy connection was also appreciated. Plentiful parking. Very quiet area.

My 90 year old mother appreciated access facilities in Room 121 and the provision of an electric blanket on request for the double/queen bed. Will come again. We were very impressed both by the staff as well as the accommodation.There was a group of 40 odd school kids staying at the same time & the staff managed to look after the kids interestes as well as the other guests.Very impessive. I liked the friendly staff and the fact that we were able to park our 4x4 and camper trailer with out any problems, its location was also very good for us as well. Also our rooms were refreshed daily which was nice as well. I was travelling with my elderly mother. We had two specific requirements - Walk-in Shower and no stairs. They accommodated us beautifully. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again and recommend to others. - location to shops and cafes and wholley street for good food/ parks for walks etc - tidy - super quiet - cable tv - microwave is very handy - free wifi - good info sheets on things to do in canberra at office. The Staff at reception were great and most helpful , we arrived at our room very late due to a traffic issue , they were happy to offer alternate plan to check in. Very clean rooms. Very happy :). Its central location to NGA and War Memorial and Canberra Racecourse whilst also very quiet.Also very close to Ainslie Football Club which has excellent facilities. The location, for what we wanted to see in Canberra (War Memorial etc). Nice basic restaurant for travellers and children. Facilities in room. Quiet street. Secure parking. The housekeepers mad up the room , but left our pillows on the couch, not back on the bed ?? not sure why, also took our dirty coffee cups away and didn't return them. Little details but annoying as you then have to follow up yourself. Restaurant not open Friday, Sat and Sunday nights for dinner. This seems a very strange policy. Nothing really. Insufficient details, with all the tiny streets, to get to city and back. A map detailing the local shopping area would have helped, especially if put on the home page on the internet All other OK. I stayed one week, I would have liked the floor vacuumed at least once and the sheets changed at least once in that time. The room was too close to reception and the noise in the morning starting at 0600 was dreadful. People , children calling out and running up and down the corridor. Room was a tad small, but this didnt matter because we were out all day sight seeing. Had difficulty finding parking on a couple of occasions. Nothing. young staff at reception, efficient , but lacked warmth..polite but not welcoming. Didn't engage the client (me). I felt just like any customer to be processed and dismissed as quickly as possible. Maybe a little harsh on my part,however it was the only blemish on what was otherwise a great 'product'. Odour from the drain in the bathroom. nothing I didn't like. Slightly off the main road. could have had a small table to eat breakf. The stairs to get up to 2nd level. Strong smell of room deodoriser. Very overpowering thought it might be masking cigarette smell? Could do with extra blankets for single beds when cold and don't want to leave heater on all night. Reception, had taxi booked for 7am, young lady was in the office from when we arrived at 6.45,but didn't open the screen until the dot of 7, just reached for the keys, which we had placed on the bench, no good morning etc! Interesting!. Staff in the dining room were very unfriendly, they assumed we knew how the menu and charges worked since we had included continental breakfast and some of us wanted hot breakfast. Noise from the concrete stairs above our room. Nothing. Curtains need attention, hooks missing, therefore unable to draw curtains fully, light room all night long. Someone else's blonde hair in shower stall. Electric jug didn't work. we went down for dinner at 7.45 and were turned away because the restaurant closed at 8pm. Do not have any complaints will stay again next year when we visit for the model train expo. With a fully occupied motel on a Sat and Sun nights, the bistro was closed. There was a room service menu in the room but not available. Breakfast basic and late opening on Sunday morning for people who were in town for sporting events and conferences. The door/power keys didn't work but this was rectified promptly. Only one tissue in the box. The restaurant is not open through out the day.so people have to travel some distance to get food especially lunch time and during public holidays. Bathroom very cramped Light bulb blown in bath room and No extractor fan. Unfortunately the rain leaked into our room, we chased a cockroach around the room and I had a hair attached to my bacon for breakfast. N/A. Nothing.
