Arrived late and left very early but this motel met all my needs perfectly - comfortable bed, quiet location, free shuttle bus to airport that arrived on time, and cheaper than many of the others. Would stay again to catch an early morning flight. Comfort Inn Northgate had Very friendly and helpful staff, rooms were well set out and lovely and spacious. Restaurant service to our rooms was really good and so handy with young children. Very reasonable prices and tasty.

Look foward to staying there again as only 5 mins to the airport!!. We stayed just 1 night for its proximity to the airport as our flight arrival was in the evening and we were driving north next morning. We were happy that it served our needs but were glad it wasn't longer. We did not know what to expect and was very much surprised by the quality of the one bedroom apartment. Well positioned to the airport too. A good ending to our short break. Elegant spacious room in pristine condition. Staff helpful - arranged meal when I arrived after restaurant closed. Good sound proofing, so major road not a problem. We liked the location -close to the airport. The restaurant was a plus with excellent food though somewhat pricey. Our first room was spacious and comfortable.. Handy to train for Entertainment Centre. Better than most if not all around area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and well maintained. The restaurant at the motel would have to be the best kept secret in Northgate. Chef-quality meals - reasonable prices. Very friendly service!. The apartment was really nice, we were only there for one night but I could easily see staying longer as a base. Breakfast was great too. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If, as I did, you arrive at night you end up at the top of the stair in total darkness with no idea where the light switch is. Fortunately a staff member was passing and turned on the light for me - though tripping over my suitcase in the darkness. Total madness..... Hotel is very good but the area is devoid of eating options or anything really. Nothing in the close neighbourhood worth a mention. The fact that I couldn't have enjoyed this stay with my husband. Somewhat difficult access to first floor with luggage. Also door was difficult to unlock. Very small bathroom. Poor internet. the shower door was so small I had to soap myself up to get through the door. Nothing. We chose this hotel as it had a pool but it was horrible, next to raod and could do with a good clean. Lack of soundproofing between rooms - woeful that you can hear your neighbour go to the toilet. Difficult to find, coming from airport late at night. No adequate maps available at airport. Staff didn't tell me about free airport transfer at0730. No food available when I arrived at 8.30 p.m. On reflection I thought it was overpriced for one room in an airport hotel which was further from the airport than I expected. The drain in the bathroom was a bit smelly. A little difficult to find when arriving at 1am and not being familiar with the area. Needs better signage out front at night time. No password available to use wi-fi internet to download emails if arriving when reception is closed. I chose this motel because it offered free WiFi. It turned out it was only for one device but as it turned out I couldn't get any service in our room so we had no WiFi at all. If I had known this, we wouldn't have stayed here. We stayed in a cheaper motel in Bundaberg and had awesome unlimited free WiFi for four devices. The room smelt musty and damp and when we commented the reception gave us a tin of air fresher pool was a big let down as it was the size of a bat tub. It lacked tea spoons, and unfortunately the road noise kept me awake during the night. The breakfast session was a little chaotic as there were very few staff around. When I went for breakfast on the 27th 4 other guests were milling around in the reception area unsure of what to do. Too far from everything. Price $160 from 10.30pm to 5.30am. Small size of pool Limited cafe hours Location not really at airport. Noise No transport from airport. Mildew in shower, smeary tap & vanity (with hair tangle on countertop, YUK!) Teacups Had covers which had not been cleaned. Lovely bay window with blinds that wouldn't open????. The access to the room was difficult with a long & very narrow stairwell to a suit on a very busy intersection. The key for activation of the lights and air con. was at the bottom of the stairs and not in the room. the shower cubicle was very small and the door only allowed access for little people, ie only about 400mm opening. Very bright room - the light of the car park remained on for the whole night. The blinds and curtains did not close properly so the light shone directly in the room. My room was affected by outside street light & light outside door downstairs. (room 215) There was no way of keeping light out & also the street noise made it impossible to sleep. Requested change of room - Left 2 days early.
