Position perfect. Walking distance to City Center, Food, beautiful Lake Wendouree, also the short distance to the railway was a big plus. Loved the History of this beautiful building. Excellent helpful staff welcomed my sister & myself when we arived & on leaving so kindly advised us how to get to and walk around the Lake. Did the walk to the Lake, had a beautiful breakfast at Racers Cafe, walked back to the Quest & was given advice on Tours that we must take next time we are in tow.

Nothing really to dislike. Getting luggage up the stairs is difficult. Either provide a lift or perhaps a staff member who could lift the luggage. No elevator. A little "rabbit warren'ish" as being a former Cloister and then school not all corridors were straight or the same level with multiple places where floors ramped or had small flights of stairs, but this is part of the history of the building. Also could do with art showing the former building in it's former uses. The room is described as a "studio" but at 21 sq m it is a standard hotel room and no more. N/A. The staff attitude was told we could have a room next door to my daughter and her family told thet had been booked out by regulars we had 6 rooms booked over the weekend Not happy !!!!. Lots of stairs. No lift. Several of the reception staff require training to make customers welcome.and not feel that the customer is doing them a favour by staying there. They need to develop a personality, preferably a pleasant one. 1. Alarm clock going off at 5am that preivous guest had set 2. Fire Alarm going off twice. No lift. Nothing. Water pressure In shower is not up to what you expect in Australia. Room 108a. Walking up three flights of stairs. I booked on - line and expected a room with a couch etc.. Felt the room was a little tired considering the money I paid. Front reception not conveniently located or easy to find Dirty plate in the microwave.
