The room was very much larger than the norm, and so it was very comfortable to be able to move around without tripping over cases, etc. The staff went the extra mile. Eg, supplying information and maps on how to navigate the unfamiliar city. Although the motel is situated on a main road, the rooms were located at the rear end of the block, so that it we got two good nights sleep.....in a very comfortable bed.

Within half an hour not only was my shuttle to Pennishaw arranged and a rental car awaiting me there but the return trip as well. This woman did above and beyond. She was the savior of my trip to KI!!!! For future travelors be sure to research KI!!!(-. We had a wonderful long weekend staying at the motel, the service was great, the staff at the hotel knew i had a very young baby and got our room ready early when we arrived from the airport to checked in so he could have a sleep, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The room was spacious and very clean!!! Staff extremely friendly and helpful! The pool was amazing as well as the spa! It was very well secured area! Overall a perfect location and great atmosphere and would Definetly stay there again without a doubt! I loved it. I loved the stay at glenelg motel. It is in a great location everything is close by, very quiet at night, affordable and clean. Housekeepers come daily so the staff and service were just amazing. I will definently stay here again :). Daily linen service, clean towels, towels supplied for pool, milk in fridge, problems fixed immediately, lady/cook very chirpy and gave my son Easter eggs on Easter morning, laundry facilities good and reasonably priced :-). I'm appalled that I wasn't aware that a trip to KI was this difficult! It seems that Sealink is the only approach to getting there without a rental car. Be prepared and do the research before you go! There is NO public transportation from Adelaide to the ferry besides Sealink and there is no public transportation on the island besides car rentals and Sealink tours. Would have been good if there was a toaster/microwave. Nothing everything was great. may be the price is bit higher with the standard of the hotel and the location is quite far from the tram station.Need to walk to the motel because no car services in the area. Badly scorched on sole-plate. This is not a dislike, but purely a concern....the fridge didn't seem to keep its level of coldness and the freezer compartment likewise. I wonder if it was that the fridge appeared to be entirely enclosed by a cupboard. If this was so, maybe the heat generated by the fridge couldn't escape hence affected the effectiveness of the fridge. nothing. The fact that the ice wouldn't freeze in the fridge but staff did accomodate with bowl of icecubes. Television mounted too high and could not be viewed from double bed. Room had a musty smell...needed to turn on air-con to get ventilation. nothing. Nothing. Nothing to speak of, facililities as expected for a 3 star property. outside the room was not very attractive, it was dirty, with leaves laying around. people in adjoining rooms were very noisy, even when asked to be quiet. the saturday night, they came in late, and stayed outside the room, talking and laughing until the early hours in the morning. The walls were a bit thin. We could readily hear voices and the television in the adjoining rooms--tho I readily admit I have sensitive hearing. Noise from adjacent room could be heard through walls. The was no pay TV channel. A comfortable couch to sit & watch tv would have been nice. walking from the main street.
