The view from the top. Facilities at Blue nose inn available and nice. Breakfast at the Looking Glass. Easy walk to Bar Harbor main street. Weather was awesome for 1st week of October. Staff was very friendly , location was great . Dining room view is spectacular with wonderful view of harbor . Had breakfast & was very good . Clean, cozy with great view of the water. Friendly helpful staff. Good value. Close to town so walkling was possible as well as the shuittle.
wszystkie opinie » Wonderful view of the harbor from the hotel room. We also enjoyed having drinks at the outdoor fire pit. Very close to everything and the shuttlenbrings you all over the place. We didn't need to use our car. The staff was great...and the location was nice the restaurant had a great view. Grounds were well kept. Good location. The room was clean with a nice view. Acadia park was closed due to Fed Gov shutdown. Bummer!. No real view of ocean. Trees too high , older motel needing some updating. King size bed was like sleeping on a rock. Nothing. No complaints whatsoever. we stayed in 2 different rooms and the mattresses left us sore...definitely need some upgrades on those but that was it. The room needed to be updated. The front desk staff was just OK, but not that friendly. The photo in the brochure shows the deck of the restaurant as a view for the water, not from a room where you can't see the water. Disappointed that our room didn't quite have the view we wanted. Although not their fault the Acadia nat'l park was closed due to the govt shutdown. Small room. Obviously this is an old facility and dated by current standards. Restaurant/Breakfast staff is slow and unorganized. The rooms were ok and clean but a little old in their aspect. SMALL bathroom!! SMALLER TUB!!! outdated all around (keys windows tv). OVERPRICED, rooms are in dire need for upgrading, especially at the price of the room !!!. Not much of a view. 1. Room was motel standard - disappointing. 2. No 'wonder view' - trees instead of sea 3. Price high for standard of room & shower-room 4. Very dark when walking up driveway in the evening - lights not working / bulbs broken 5. Reception hours limited. View is nowhere near what is advertized- there is no view Very outdated too 70s.
