Everything! I was given a warm welcome and taken to my room (the receptionist carried my bag too!) The room was beautifully decorated, warm and comfortable, with every amenity required. I had a meal in the restaurant (3 courses for £11.95) and everything was home made and freshly prepared. It was so delicious, I could hardly walk after finishing it! (Although I also managed the fabulous full english breakfast the next morning too!) The staff were all friendly and helpful, making it a very homel.
wszystkie opinie » We stayed here because they were able to offer us a dog friendly room, it was way more than we expected, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, real furniture instead of modern units, a bit of a regency feel to the decor. Clean and everything we needed. We had planned to eat out, but when none of the local pubs would accommodate us with the dog we returned to the hotel, we were able to eat in what I guess is their lounge/TV room/Function room. Had it to ourselves, I beli. I was totally impressed from check in to check out. I stayed for two days at this well run hotel, and in my opinion all the staff were a credit to this hotel, if only all hotels were run like this. Rooms where clean and a very good size, also contained a large modern TV and an excellent shower. Breakfast was well worth waiting for, buffet style and a lovely pot of tea and again excellent staff taking care of you. Over all a joy to stay at and would recommend to all. Richard from Derby. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome. A wide spectrum of guests were there when we stayed, including Senior Citizen party-goers, young families and couples, like ourselves, just getting away for a quiet evening. For anyone having to stay in this area I would strongly recommend this Hotel, although I wouldn't recommend Wisbech as a place to go and spend a lot of time as, in my opnion, there was very little to do. Room was adequate for a short stay. Not overly fussy and sufficient storage. We were in the lodge so cannot comment on the deluxe rooms. I would think the front lodge rooms would suffer from the noise of the road traffic. Wifi connection was good. The room was made up everyday and room supplies replenished. The staff were very friendly and helpful and quickly sorted out a problem I had with pre payment. We stayed in the annex block which is new from when we stayed a few years ago it is very clean and perfect for purpose ... We visit family and this is a very welcoming friendly place to stay ...breakfast was buffet and was very nice ... The staff were very helpful and friendly, and choice of cold breakfast really good, we don't have cooked breakfast so can't comment although they did look nice. Parking is a big plus as it's very easy with lots of space. Room was spacious, very clean, had everything we needed. Food was exceptionally good and surprisingly affordable. We were in the area for a funeral and the hotel made a nice haven to return to at the end of the day. As a solo female ttraveller I felt safe and welcome. Staff very friendly and helpful. Business rooms in the annex and family rooms inside. Kevin, the proprietor, is very much a host and makes all feel welcome. Well located on edge of town on A47. Dinner was good quality and value for money. Staff were very helpful and service good, even though staffing levels seemed low (eg check-in by restaurant staff). the room was very spacious , shower was excellent, breakfast was buffet, and was also excellent , staff were very helpfull. all in all one of the best hotels i have ever stayed in. Not a thing to complain about. The toilet/shower room was a bit on the small side. going home. The corridor outside our room was being painted for the two days we were there which meant there was a heavy unpleasant paint smell. The shower was difficult to adjust ie either hot or cold and the shower room was a bit on the small side for two people. Not that I didn't like it but the bar area is very small for the size of the hotel and they could do more with the outside space . Breakfast was a little sparse - and I do not eat a lot. The lodge building is a short walk from hotel - not good in the rain! Hotel is a very modern building pretending to be characterful - but doesn't quite achieve this. when we arrived the heater in the room was on , at the time i was too tired to look for the controls, consequently the room was way too hot all night . irt was only in the morning i noticed where the controls were. this could have been pointed out on arrival, however a minor point. could do with an iron in the room and not in the hallway. There needs to be a covered walkway from lodge to main building. The road passing the hotel can be quite noisy at times. Breakfast room was uninspiring and unatmospheric. Breakfast was reasonable though. The room was laid out for one only so we had to share towels. Nothing. Nothing. nothing. Damp under bathroom floor covering - smelt of mould. Dinner menu could be more extensive, e.g. no chicken on menu during stay. The only complaint was that the shower was low and wouldn't go higher and the shower tray was lethal as it had no grip nor was there a bath mat available. The problem was the location in that Wishbech has nothing so if you wanted to go out for an evening meal outside of the hotel it meant expensive taxis or someone driving. No complaints. There was not a lift up to the room with a heavy case Nobody to ask for help with the case. Wasnt as rural as the pictures on the website suggested. nothing to report (esp for £68). Rooms were quite small, bathroom was tiny and nowhere to store toiletries. Although breakfast was tasty, the food was sometimes left under the heatlamp too long. Decor and lack of atmosphere. Bbc reception very poor in room. \\\\\Bar very limited <no real why was everybody put in the annexe. Brand new room but bathroom very musty already. Nothing. Could not find anything not to like. nothing. Difficult to find at night (entrance is a narrow poorly marked gate). Bed was saggy (staff replaced the mattress after we complained). Could hear next room's TV through the wall. Bar area is a bit like a waiting room and not staffed, so takes ages a while for reception or dinner staff to serve you. The room is in a block about 100m from the reception area and has a hall of residence feel to it. No dislikes. would have like a bit more shelf space in the wet room. My husband being disabled from a stroke didnt have many places to put his washing/shaving gear to be close at hand. the glass shelf was all of a slant and we were afraid to put anything on it. Whilst the room was of well appointed it was let down by the very small bathroom. Otherwise, it was clean and of reasonable standard. Light gone in bathroom, not a problem, reported to reception - didn't spoil our stay. Nothing. Walk from accommodation to main building in wet weather.
