Wisteria Lodge and Country Spa is a small, elegant hotel offering a relaxed atmosphere & high level of personal service. The hotel enjoys an idyllic location set in an acre of lovingly tended private gardens on the outskirts of St Austell.
The Eden Project is within walking distance, and the lost gardens of Heligan is a short drive away. There are a number of delightful beaches within easy reach of the hotel.

A beautiful location. The room was small but we accepted the fact that it was one of the lower priced rooms. The breakfast was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. Very friendly staff / owner of the lodge, comfortable room with jacuzzi bath tub; nice breakfast (very homemade), close to Eden project (walking distance). Spotlessly clean. Good quality linen etc. Owner took time to show us around and an obvious pride in the facilities. Very friendly. Would stay there again.The staff went out of their way to be helpful, the room was clean and luxuriously comfortable and the full Cornish Breakfast was excellent. very relaxing, very quiet and altogether a great experience.the staff (this one guy who was there and helped us etc) was really nice and friendly and we would go back just because of him!!! Bit far out of St Austel, but ok for us. The bedroom was smaller than it appeared on the 360 degree virtual tour which was quite a surprise but soon forgotten because everything else was lovely.Parking was a bit restricted but not a major problem. there was a spider in the room. The shower was not very good. The pressure was low and the shower door did not close properly. No wi fi. Shower was small. No internet connection despite being advertised on your site. No telephone available and mobile reception was poor. Facilities were not as advertised, there was some confusion about facilities for Wisteria Lodge and other hotels owned by the same family which was misleading.The website needs to be updated as we could not get drinks in the hotel, it wasn't an easy walk to Eden as advertised. The TV in the room was very tempermental and quite often we couldn't get signal for any channels which was annoying. Wysteria Lodge had a nice exterior but the interior/rooms were a little tired and dated. Although one bottle of water was available with the tea and coffee facilities there were not any glasses available. We stayed in the garden suite which was very disappointing, a converted garage on the drive of the property. We felt it was poor value for money.lack of atmosphere.

Travelling information
Take the m5 to Exeter, then onto the a30 until just after Bodmin. At the big roundabout turn left onto the A391, which heads South and is signposted St. Austell. Continue on this road until you reach a roundabout in Stenalees. Turn left. At the next mini roundabout turn right and then straight over the next mini roundabout immediately after. (Do NOT turn left towards the Eden Project.) In simple terms, always follow the St. Austell/ A391 signs. You will now be presented with a magnificent view of the sea as you come down into St. Austell Bay as well as four roundabouts each about half a mile apart. Go straight at all the roundabouts and you will then come to a major 'T' junction with traffic lights. This is the A390. Turn left (away from St. Austell) onto the A390 and after 300 metres turn left towards Tregrehan. Look out for the Brown 'Boscundle Manor' tourist signs and follow them in. we are situated a few yards up the road. Boscundle Close sign on left. Turn left and we are on the right. By Air Ryanair, AirSouthwest and bmiBaby all fly to Newquay Cornwall airport. The best option is to take a taxi from the airport (please call if you would like us to arrange this for you) with a journey time of around 25 minutes. By Train Alight from the train at St. Austell station, and take a taxi to Boscundle Manor where a typical fare is around £5.00, and the journey time is approximately two minutes.
