The Hotel Inspector calls..........
My husband and I were booked in for 4pm, after a 6 ½ hour trip, mainly in rain, we arrived 3 hours early. Alan was very welcoming and not fazed at all, our room was ready and we were taken up, Alan helped with our luggage and was very informative about the area.

My husband and I recently spent two nights at Chiverton House, finding it both centrally located for exploring Penzance on foot, and ideal as a base for touring the surrounding area by car.
We have only praise for our hosts, Alan and Sally, who exceeded all expectation with their warm and friendly welcome, spotlessly clean and well maintained property, quality breakfast, and knowledge of things local. Both went out of their way to call each guest by name, to encourage guests to interact, a.
This was one of the most lovely B&B's of our entire trip. Our host Allan couldn't be better suited to accommodate guests. The room was perfect. A good size, lovely bedding and very clean. The home has all the lovely charm of and old English B&B with all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was amazing with special care for dietary requirements and our hosts was extremely friendly with good advice on local activities. Loved staying here and highly recommend it to all. Staying with Alan and Sally was like staying with friends. They are such a good team. Sally kept us fed and Alan's excellent front of house and tour guide skills enabled us as Cornwall virgins to see explore and enjoy more of Cornwall than we would have alone. The gift of a card and a big box of chocolates for our anniversary was a very nice touch and greatly appreciated. We would not hesitate to stay at the Chiverton if we visit Cornwall again. 10/10.
The location was was good and our room was first class and very comfortable. Alan & Sally were the perfect hosts and very helpfull with where to eat and local attractions. My only comment, and this not a complaint, would be that some people are unable to drink tea or coffee due to an allergy or religious reasons.
The only hot drinks on offer were tea and coffee, hot chocolate would have been welcome.
I feel that had I asked Alan for hot chocolate then he would have made some available.
Because I suffer from a caffeine allergy I tend to take my own hot chocolate while away.
Having experienced immaculate accommodation, superb breakfasts and exceedingly high customer service, we found nothing whatsoever to dislike.
