Surrounded by Scottish countryside, The Hightae Inn serves homemade meals prepared using local produce. With a wood burning stove, the traditional bar offers a wide selection of single malt whiskies. The Annandale Way, a long distance footpath, is within a 5-minute walk of the property. Goose down pillows and duvets are provided in each individually decorated room. A flat-screen TV, an en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer are also included in each room. Cycling is possible on the quiet country lanes surrounding Hightae. The River Annan is less than 10 minutes’ walk away along the country paths. The ruins of Lochmaben Castle on Castle Loch are 5 minutes’ drive from the property. Full English breakfasts are served in the restaurant and fresh coffee is also available. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property.

What a pleasant surprise awaited us at the Hightae Inn. A beautifully presented and immaculate country pub located in the quaint village of Hightae. Both the Inn and accomodation were immaculately clean, decorated tastefully and to a very high standard. All the rooms were full when we stayed (1 night only unfortunately), the other guests were super friendly and also impressed with the property. Mark and Morag were superb hosts and also lovely to talk to. Dinner and Breakfast was fabulous also. .
wszystkie opinie » Mark and Morag, the owners, are a very friendly and hospitable couple who make you most welcome. Morag is in charge of the cooking which is excellent and Mark is in charge of the bar and reservations. If you make a booking for bed and breakfast make sure you book for your evening meal as well as the few tables available get booked up quickly and there is know where else round and about to eat. Morag's breakfast are to die for with tasty locally sourced ingredients. This place is such a gem. Set in beautiful countryside, we were warmly welcomed and had a delicious gourmet supper in the inn restaurant. Our bed was so comfortable, it was hard to wake up! The decor and furnishings and cleanliness were excellent with many thoughtful details to add to comfort. The owners, Mark and Morag are delightful and attentive hosts. Very welcoming and excellent hotel serving very tasty food with a smile and great service. Very pleasent owners who know how to look after folk and have a sense of fun. Great rooms and furnished well. Nicely set away from the usual bigger, boring hotels in this area. Recommended and we will be back. Steve & Claire. What a gem of a find. Cannot speak highly enough of Mark and Morag - one of the most friendliest places we've ever stayed. We'll certainly be back for a long chilled out weekend. The proprietors, Mark and Morag, were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The food was excellent!. Dinner took an hour to arrive from ordering, but we were in no hurry so it didn't matter for us. Nothing. No concerns at all. Nothing. I couldn't get a signal with my mobile phone. We liked everything. minor complaint, it could have done with a hook on the bathroom door and a towel rail but room was lovely overall. Hard to find anything we didn't like. Nothing!. nothing.
