The staff here are excellent, as is the food .Basic menu but very well cooked and served. Only possible minor critiscism is that the décor may need updating, but that all adds to the charm of the place. The room I had was far bigger than you normally get as a single traveller and exceptional value for money. Will certainly be back next time I am in Wales.
Very friendly staff who went out of their way to help, for example making arrangements for us to return at 1am after a party. Lovely warm room on a cold night! Good restaurant. Good sized rooms. But its the staff that make it led by owner Mark.wszystkie opinie »
Liked the fact that it was an old building and it had on site parking. I had booked B&B and D and the food was excellent. After a noisy altercation outside in the early hours the staff couldn't apologize enough.
Friendly and accomodating staff.
Characterful rooms and public areas.
Good quality, but inexpensive food, well served.
Central location in the town, and closer than we realised to Lake Vyrnwy (15 mins. drive).
Everyone and everything.
Easy parking
The idea of staying again!
Able to have fried bread
Being able to visit the friendly newsagents opposite
Being entertained by the proprietor!.

Loved the olde worlde rooms - in particular the size of our room. Had a small cottage settee in room too. Dog friendly.
Its a bit tired and shoddy but has great athmosphere - we loved it.Great Jazz session in the Bar on Wednesday nights.

Happy staff.
Food was good quality . Staff friendly and helpful . We ate in the bar the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and busy for a week night .
Allocated a room at the front of building and as the weather was so warm it was a bit noisy.
Some of our extended party reported having some problems with heating and hot water, but we personally had none.
Nothing!.
There wasn't a single thing I can identify that would be considered negative.
Lack of air-conditioning (in a rare heat-wave)
Narrow, twisting stairs would be a problem for some people (not us).
Hand held shower attachment was only down side but everything else far outweighed this minor complaint.
Would have liked a wall mounting for the bath shower.
The noise from the bathroom plug hole after water had gone down or someone else in another room was washing and the water was going through the pipes! No very close by grassy places to take a dog for a walk.
Mid-week visit with few other guests - a little too quiet.
On the first floor you can hear the bar down stairs.
The hotel bar got a bit rowdy when a coach party (hens?) turned up but it wasn't a big problem.
nothing.
Nothing to dislike.
Bathroom needs updating, but plenty of hot water and functional.
Hot water could have been hotter, but not a significant issue.
very poor shower in the family room.
Rooms were a little tired, need updating.
The weather.
I think if the staff are pleasant and the establishment clean then what is there not to like.
Would have liked the shower to have a holder fixed to the wall.
They need a good handyman to do some maintainance.
Because there was still snow on the ground and midweek there was not a lot to do in the evenings most other restraunts were closed .
