All the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful, especially Olivia. Our room was delightful with everything you need. Everywhere was kept really clean and tidy.Breakfast was excellent and included in the price, as was additional coffees, etc. Food selection was very good and at reasonable prices. WIFI access was easy. Location was in a very nice area of the Region. Without doubt we really enjoyed our stay at the Woodman Inn.
wszystkie opinie » Delightful surroundings, a charming building that has been sympathetically and recently restored to a very high standard. The Staff provided an outstanding service, ably supported by an excellent chef. The evening meal was excellent; terrific flavours and superb value for money, as was the breakfast. And if you like a good ale there are plenty to choose from. Very highly recommended. Beautiful room, loved the exit straight out of the room, lovely shower, excellent breakfast, good location - easy access for both Sheffield and Huddersfield, staff very friendly & couldn't have been more helpful Will stay again and this time will stay for dinner (book in advance). The Woodman is in a very attractive location. The Inn has been very tastefully and carefully refurbished recently and many of the original features have been retained. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent. Excellent hotel/pub, with really good food and drink, served in a lovely environment. Accommodation very nice, with very tasteful decor and facilities in the room. Will definitely stay there again when next in the area on business. Woodman Inn is a place of excellence, even under adverse circumstances not of their doing, a power failure, they still achieved this level of service. I would highly recommend this Inn for a lovely time away. Everything about the Woodman is fantastic. From the welcome, to the rooms, and not forgetting the food, nothing can be faulted. A real gem --and an obvious port of call when staying in the Hudderfield area. Rooms are newly decorated to a very high standard. Bathrooms lovely too. Good range of ales and the food is very nice. The location is perfect for exploring on foot to work off the steak and ale pie!. The room was spacious and comfortable. The en-suite was modern and spotless. The staff extremely friendly and helpful. The food and drink was superb and great value for money. Fantastic breakfasts. greeted with a friendly member of staff he explained breakfast times and if we wanted to reserve a table for the evening , which we did .The meal was excellent. Room lovely and very clean. Beautiful setting. Incredibly comfortable & spacious room. Best shower ever. And last but not least the most woderful kind, caring, welcoming funny staff. The accommodation was first class, as was the service. The staff even offered to go to shop at 10.30 at night to buy toothpaste for me! Would highly recommend. Access to upstairs rooms was limited and no lift. Although I am convinced the Staff would willingly assist with heavy luggage. The room was a bit warm at night in the Summer, even with the windows open, although the temp. at the time, was warmer than normal for the UK. Didn't interfere with our sleep too much. The refurbishment, while completed to a very high standard, didn't take into account noise dampening between rooms. I was on the ground floor and heard every footstep of those above me, especially at 5 in the morning! But don't let that detract from an excellent establishement. Nothing. Nothing to fault. Tv reception is a bit hit-and-miss as is the wi-fi. Price you pay for a wonderful location though...... Nothing. Seems such a non-complaint really as the fabulous certainly outweighs the not so good but my partner & I were not keen on the pillows, loved the tempra mattress but unfortunately the pillows spent the night on the floor!! But I turned this into a positive as I had been considering purchasing such pillows but now realise that it will not be necessary. Heating was on timed so a little chilly at first in the room. nothing. The breakfast was not up to the standard to the rest of the hotel and facilities. The eggs had been stood and the bacon very dry as if it had been on the pass waiting to be served. We had to ask for toast and two slices came uncut for four people and no butter. Food was too expensive to eat there each night. No complaints. Breakfast could be better.parking small and on the other side of fairly busy road.We did have serious problem with noise from other guests at night this is not the fault of the hotel but there was nobody in the place to contact to sort out the problem no night porter in fact I think no member of staff was in the place at night. It spoilt for us the whole stay. There was a heating failure that meant it was very cold in our room for 3hrs until a temporary electric fan arrived. None. There is no separate lounge for guests, so when the inn is busy seating can be limited. Breakfast by 9:00 is a little early for breakfast but ok. nothing. Breakfast not quite so well organised. busy road. (wasn't any problem to us). Internet WIFI signal not available in room (may just have been the room I was in of course). Bed was small for such a big room. Ideally need to be able to operate lights from both sides of the bed. not enough choice for breakfast. Nothing. Room size Looked onto a rat run Not keen on room that went out onto the street. Limited menu basically same for lunch and dinner. Nothing. toilet dirty from previous guest toilet roll holder broken dirty coffee cup with coffee still in it from previous guest. Need choice of pillows. Food, in consistant in quality and quantity..1 sausage, then next day 2. etc. Cups in rooms small; sometimes no sugar and not equal amounts of tea/coffee/hotchocolate..no decaf. Lack of practical thought in design of bathroom....ie: toilet roll holder..hand towel holder. Pillows uncomfortable; Several staff gave poor service including the manager who was rather condescending and lacking professionally. Very small bed in double room. Pillows hard and uncomfortable.
