This charming grade II listed Georgian country house is set in landscaped gardens, 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Hook. Hook House Hotel also has a restaurant, and is placed on the edge of scenic farmland. Bright, airy rooms each feature a flat-screen TV and free tea/coffee, whilst some overlook the lawn and boast period furnishings. Bathrooms each include a hairdryer, and a trouser press and iron can be provided. Traditional full English breakfasts are served every morning in Hook House’s dining room, which has an original fireplace and classic décor. Hook Rail Station is less than a mile away, and the M3 motorway can be reached in 5 minutes by car. Heathrow Airport is a 40-minute drive away, whilst Basingstoke’s shops and bars are a 15-minute drive.

Hook House is a delightful little hotel. I chose this hotel primarily for its location and price for my business trip. I travel a great deal and stay away from home in hotels each evening. When your away as much as me the overnight accommodation is very important and sets up the day ahead and provides you with a little relaxation in the evening. Unfortunately many hotels do not live up to expectations or charge too much. Hook house fits my own needs perfectly. It's as well furnished on the insi.

Tony and his daughter-in-law Paula were excellent hosts, did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Thank you. Very friendly welcome, lovely spacious room, good 2 course dinner. Will definitely choose to stay here again. It is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel, nearest thing to been at home i have experienced. Bumping my head on the sloping roof in the top floor bedroom :-) Minor irritation. Nothing actually. The entire staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Restaurant opening hours are a maybe a bit odd especially for those staying on business on a Thursday night when it is not open leaving guests to have to fend for themselves. We were not able to stay another night! Obviously too popular!. i prefer a seperate shower when traveling ie forget the bath. Slightly tired bathroom. Not a major issue but the restraurant is closed on a Thursday night and there isn't much within walking distance. Had to climb two flights of stairs with a (perhaps too heavy!) bag, laptop case, papers, handbag. It would have been nice if there was a little help at hand :-). Also wasn't clear if there was/was not breakfast included or served. Wine could have been colder!. The head height of the second floor is no good if you are 6ft and above. Having to book on-line. I am used to calling up as I have preferences for rooms. Too impersonal. Cramped bedroom. no curtain on the bathroom window and staff using the fire escape exit for smoking and the smoke travelling up to my room. Nothing to dislike. All tried extremely hard to make you feel welcome. Problems with wifi. We could not control our heating, therefor it was very hot in the room. Very, very poor bathroom. The bed was certainly not a kingsize. Food is not really woth of the money. Fish and chips alone £19.99.
