The Cloudesley is an award-winning, eco-friendly guest house in St Leonards-on-Sea, 1 mile from the beaches of Hastings. Rooms at the guest house are beautifully decorated with luxurious fabrics and painted with eco lime-wash paint. Rooms include free Wi-Fi, coffee and tea, books of art, photography and design are provided, as well as luxury beds with Siberian goose down or anti-allergy pillows. TVs are not features in these rooms. There is a wide variety of breakfast choices including gourmet omelettes to full English. Special dietary options are also available on request, all made where possible from organic ingredients. Garden-grown fruit is offered in the growing season. Guests can also make use of two drawing rooms and an honesty bar. The Cloudesley offers a range of spa and holistic treatments including reiki, aromatherapy, deep tissue massage, Thai hot compresses and reflexology. The interior of the property was designed by Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner Shahriar Mazandi. The Cloudesley was listed by the Times as one of Britain's top 50 B&Bs in 2014.

What,s not to like?? The owner has gone to every concievalble effort to create a unique boutique b & B. He makes the most gorgeous fresh breakfasts the like I haven,t tasted anywhere. He,s very interesting & knowledgable plus there is a treatment room to help you recover from walking up Hastings many hills. The beds are so cosy that you have to force yourself out of them! The décor is sublime & the house is very quiet & tranquil even though it,s on a fairly busy road. The aa 5 s.

From the beautiful décor to the calm ambience & that,s not forgetting the delicious breakfasts which are unique & so healthy. We love the way there are lots of diverse books & the absence of tv is a big plus too. One can have a relaxing massage just to add to the relaxation. To sum up I could move in no problem!!. The owner Shariar was very friendly. He is a great photographer and as we are interested in art and photography we spent some time with him discussing the art. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. The breakfast was the best breakfast we had anywhere. Apart from a first course of fresh fruit, he made us gourmet omelettes. We had a great stay. When you enter the Cloudesley, a whole special world opens up. One of the most special places we've ever stayed in. Rooms were beautiful. The owner is wonderful and we had great and very interesting conversations with him. He also does the best breakfast you can imagine, just give him free range and you'll be amazed!. The Cloudesley is a little gem. We stayed there recently for the weekend and were impressed by the whole experience. The level of care and attention the owner went to was incredible. If you are looking to stay in the area then this is the only place you should consider. Peaceful and tranquil. The most comfortable bed and beautiful linen and pillows. The books, magazines and music available in my room. The decor and interesting artwork. The most imaginative and delicious breakfast. A very interesting host. A wonderful place to stay! The owner is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The room and all facilities were as you would wish. To misquote William Morris everything is either 'very beautiful or useful' at The Cloudesley. The room was really nice furnished and the owner was extremely nice and interesting to talk to. His special omelette in the morning was absolutely delicious. If we should ever make it to Hasting again we definitely would stay there again. Everything! It is the best hotel I have ever stayed in.Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely owner.Everything immaculate and tasteful.Wonderful and oriiginal breakfast. It was our first night in the UK, and the Cloudesley had a problem that we found everywhere. All beds have thick doona's? It is much to warm to sleep under doona's in summer. A thin blanket would suffice. N/A. The front door should be opened from the inside without a key. The rear garden was a little sad and unkempt but it was February. Actually nothing, the only thing was that the place is a bit far away from the city centre. There is nothing not to like!. There was no internet signal in my room (Ferdosi), but this was mentioned on their website. The signal was strong in the lounge downstairs. nothing. I can't imagine anyone not liking The Cloudesley, so I expect that reservations will be harder to acquire. nothing.
