excellent value for money, comfortable, clean and quiet rooms. very friendly helpful staff in the lodge. good+secure parking facilities. very convenient (airport, footie, shopping, NT properties) and pleasant location. food in pub was well presented and very tasty indeed. some great old favourites (haven´t seen for years!) incl corned-beef hash which was very good and a truly excellent steak and ale pie with short crust pastry. what a welcome change to the pallid "puff topped" found at most pub.
wszystkie opinie » The Bulls Head Lodge was perfectly situated in the lovely suburb of Hale, with access to Manchester Airport in less than 10 minutes. It is a traditional pub, with the hotel accommodation in a self-contained annex, and ample parking. There are pleasant views from the rooms across the bowling green. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with good facilities and excellent showers. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Very reasonably price. The staff were very accomodating and pleasant. We had forgotten to say my girlfriend is disabled but when we arrived to find the room we had booked was up the stairs the gentleman istantly changed us to a downstairs room with no fuss. Most excellent service. The room was clean and is great condition. The bed was amazingly comfortable. It was a pleasure to stay there. The breakfast was great and all the staff were so friendly. It's a very convenient and reasonably priced stop-over for Manchester airport. Staff were more than friendly and helpful. Rooms and surroundings were bright and clean, and a sturdy cot was provided for our 3yr. old. The attractive pub alongside provided excellent meals and a welcoming ambience. Altogether a surprisingly good experience ---far better than the usual over-priced, cookie-cutter Airport chains. We were part of a group of family members attending a wedding nearby; we arrived well before check-in time but the staff went out of their way to prepare the room early, and provided us with coffee. Nothing was too much trouble and their helpfulness and friendliness went far beyond what we might have expected. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast at the adjacent pub was very good. Staff friendly and service great. Room was spotless, bed was comfy and power shower is great. Wifi is also available and is fast! Location is great for Manchester Airport. The Bulls Head Pub is nice and welcoming. It serves food and has a typical menu but it's Hotpot is a winner! We didn't choose to have the breakfast but went to Cafe Smithy next door to the pub/lodge - highly recommended!. More than helpful Gill when I needed real help, forwarding by express mail the same day (to Canada) something I had left in error at the Bulls Head. Being close to the airport is great, and being a real British pub with a comfortable country style place to stay is more than a real plus. Quiet location with good sized car park. If you've never been to Hale you have missed an excellent small village atmosphere with top restaurants and night spots and classy hot vibe. The hotel is very close to Manchester airport. Staff were great. For a nights stay to catch a plane or shop in Manchester this is a good choice!. Cigarette butts around the tables in the Bulls Head garden and covered patio but that's smokers for you. No criticism. nothing. We had no complaints whatsoever. Everything was great. The pub near the hotel does not look inviting we prefered not to eat breakfest there. Nothing really - maybe a wider selection of real ales in the pub (any chance of my favourite - Joseph Holt's Maple Moon?), but that's it. Difficult to find!. Room fittings somewhat worn & mattress "tired" though not uncomfortable despite my having a back injury. No complaints. Nothing. Blankets were a bit worn. Nothing that I didn't like. I had trouble with my apple products internet links in the room, it was inconsistent. room could have been warmer i hate storage heaters !! no ice machine would have preferred a breakfast room in the lodge rather than in the pub.- hence reason decided against having breakfast would prefer breakfast to be part of the terms, even if only a continental that could be eaten in the room fridge with fresh milk would be nice. Pub a bit dull. 10:30am checkout, would prefer 12pm. Nothing. The beds could be upgraded but this is mearly a suggestion not a complaint!. would have liked breakfast served till 9.30am - to be a little more relaxed. Nothing. Bull's head food is awful. Don't eat there but do east in any of Hale's excellent restaurants. Blankets on the bed rather than duvets, which is not so appetising. For the one night we stayed there we did not find anything we did not like. Nothing. Nothing bad. Cannot think of anything didn't like. Didn't start serving breakfast until 8:30 on a weekend. We could have done with having breakfast a little earlier. I have no dislikes whatsoever. Hope to stay there again.
