Criccieth Rail Station is only 2 minutes’ walk from the building. There is a lift accessing every floor of George IV Hotel, and ample free parking on site. The surrounding Welsh countryside is ideal for walkers, with a number of picturesque routes nearby. It is just 1.5 miles to the Lloyd George Museum. Rooms are traditionally furnished, and each benefits from a TV and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer. Guests can relax in the bar or in the entertainment room, and the restaurant serves a range of traditional favourites.

The staff were helpful, polite and cheerful. The place was clean and my bedroom was very good and the provision of the room was good. There was provision for late night arrival and late night returns. Not really into the entertainment but the coach parties seemed happy enough with it. So as this seems to be the main type of guest they would cater for them. The food was good and reasonable choice. TV etc was adequate although limited access, only one radio station.
wszystkie opinie » Easy parking, nice staff, even if I arrived at 3 am. Comfy bed, nice and warm room, relatively newly decorated bathroom. All in all quite worth the money!. Very friendly staff , really happy to help. We especially enjoyed our breakfast, the waiter was fantastic !! And yes, good bathroom and fab shower !!. The hotel was comfortable and the staff at breakfast were very friendly, efficient and attentive. Breakfast was enjoyable and of a good standard. Car park just across the road. Food served at table, NOT a self service buffet,-- hurrah!!! All staff very pleasant and helpful, I will return!. Cleanliness very good and room comfortable, location on main street with free easy parking across road. Excellent breakfast and serving staff. Close to Ffestiniog Railway. Good view of Criccieth Castle. Walking distance to local shops and restaurants. Very reasonable cost for B&B. Nice clean hotel and staff very Efficient. Nothing greatly. A bit early checkout time. When arriving at 3 am. It would be nice to stay a little longer than 10 am. Also, didn't get any breakfast, wasn't aware of table times in restaurant. But I guess this is normal in Britain. And I would vave seen it if I bothered to read the ticket I was given. Also: priority one -sleep! :). Nothing really, we enjoyed everything. We felt that the bar prices were too high. Niggle only--Bedroom view--raindrops and chimneys. Restaurant not open for evening meal, guests should be made aware when booking since local restaurants are busy and need to pre-book. Given an incorrect bill showing double the amount agreed but reception corrected that immediately they were made aware. Lift & stairs not easy to find. Long corridors to my bedroom. View out of window was onto a very dishevelled exterior of the hotel exterior nominally 2M away with a window looking directly into room. A net curtain at least required on the room. over priced, and in need of a little re-furbishment, buffet style breakfast would have been better. The only downside was the windows in the rooms,they were filthy on the outside.A window cleaner is needed urgently. Common areas are not as well looked after. Breakfast from 8:00-9:00 is not leisure friendly and half a slice of black pudding come on. Lack of Wifi. designed for coach parties more than couples. needed a lick of paint...windows in bedroom filthy...lift to hotel broken had to navigate a steep ramp to get into hotel...no sign of this lift being repaired...no ramp after leaving lift on 2nd story had two stairs to navigate...they could have a ramp here. Very little evening entertainment . View of wheelie bins outside bedroom window. the restaurant menu is a set menu and clearly aimed at the blue rinse brigade who occupy most of the rooms. Eating out is the only option. Lack of information about dinner arrangements when booking. Dining room early closing. no air/con. TV was in awkward position, not many channels. No biscuits in room. Bed was slightly hard, not too bad. A bit sterile - I felt processed. Obviously designed around large coach trips. No atmosphere. Quite regimented - fixed narrow breakfast times etc. - everything organised around the hotel's needs, rather than guests. breakfast was awful!!!!!. I would not have liked it if I had been with my wife - the hotel caters for organised coach parties - but it suited my needs well. menu and lack of entertainment. plumbing. No view and no beer garden. The Hotel was more like a nursing home. No sky tv, no gym, fried breakfast was poorly cooked, hotel was dated. There was mould on the wall outside our room. The venue was filled with older retire people on coach trips so didnt feel too suitable for us.
