On arrival the outside doesn't look too inviting and the reception area is certainly different to most but don't let that put you off as the Owner who met us was very friendly and obliging and shown us to our room which was very clean and comfortable,The décor was very clean and modern with an excellent most comfortable bed with immaculately clean and fresh smelling sheets and pillows.

The motel was everything I needed, for location and fascilities, it was very comfortable and the owners were very friendly. It was like home from home which really matters when your away from your own home. I would definitely stay there again.
The price represents good value - cheaper than the usual prices for a 'budget' hotel (like Premier Inn). The welcome is more personal and friendly - and we were very well looked after at breakfast time by one of the owners.

The lady looking after everyone was excellent, I arrived very late as I got lost, however, she was very nice and showed me to my room, great customer service, the morning after very helpful and cheerful.

Well situated for the motorway. My day started before breakfast was served but no problem in helping yourself. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I found it odd seeing personal items lying around e.g. a child's riding hat and toys in the corridor.
I was woken very early due to thin walls and could hear numerous conversations, televisions, room doors slamming all about 6.30 am and could not get back to sleep.
Can't think of a single thing.
Suggestions rather than that I disliked anything. The shower fitting in our room was loose, one or two of the shelf fittings could be a little sturdier and, being older, might I suggest a small support rail be placed in/near the shower.
The bar /nightclub attached to the motel was very exspensive.One pint and a bottle of cider was over seven pounds.
Soundproofing between rooms is minimal. Loud low frequency music from
the rear of the building or car park 2 out of 4 nights that lasted 3-4
hours up until 10.30ish pm. In all fairness it was only an issue as I
was trying to study course material otherwise it wouldn't have been
an issue and it may have just been a boy racer parked up. I am sure if I
had mentioned it to the staff they would have helped.
The first impression is that it is pretty run-down, but the rooms are fine. It looks like there's an on-going upgrade.

Bar and corridors rather cold. Bar could do with more comfy seating (one sofa area was very comfy). Shower rather difficult to operate and was not very hot (perhaps because I didn't know how to work it).
You travel back in time to the 60's as you enter the Hunters Lodge Motel - fake wood veneer, 60's decor, orange bathroom suites etc all await your arrival! (This might be a + to some people lol!).
Prefer a shower unit rather than a shower attachment in the bath. Would also prefer a full breakfast option, but the continental breakfast was very good.

Room 6 we were in was next to the laundry and there was a constant noise
day and night woken up in the early hours by staff putting on tumble
dryer. The bed was good quality but we needed a step ladder to get in it
when we looked it was a high base with 2 thick mattresses on my husband
is disabled and I had to help him climb into bed then he had to pull me
up for me to get in.On reflection it was dangerous and should be dealt
with if he had turned over and fallen out he would have been hurt.
Bathroom was a bit old. Could do with a revamp.
