Langdale View Guest House is a 19th century property, situated 10 minutes’ walk from the shores of Lake Windermere. It features free private parking and a breakfast room with garden views. Homemade marmalade and jams are offered at the breakfast buffet, which also includes assorted fruit juices, cereals and porridge. A full English breakfast is also available, as well as continental options. Guests get free gym & spa facilities passes at the Old England Hotel, 5 minutes walk away. Free Wi-Fi is available in all Langdale rooms, as well as a fridge, hospitality tray and a plasma TV with DVD player. The town of Bowness is only a 5-minute walk from the guest house and features the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, many shops and restaurants. Windermere Steamboat Museum is just 10 minutes’ walk, and Windermere Rail Station is just 1 mile away. The scenic landscape of Orrest Head is just under 2 miles from the guest house, and is located in the Lake District.

Beautiful guest house. The room was a good size, beautifully presented and very clean. It was nice to have the little extras - cork screw and wine glasses in the room, access to a fridge and fresh milk and air freshener in the bath room. The towels were a good quality and there were plenty of them. The dressing table was a good size, had a mirror and easy access to power points (so many places get that basic wrong!). The location was excellent - quiet but just a short walk to the main road.
wszystkie opinie » What we enjoyed about this weekend was the lovely peace and quiet,location and an excellent place to stay. The owners ann-marie and paul were lovely and very informative of the surrounding areas.. arrived(a day late; due to really bad snow) to a lovely warm welcome,and a nice piece of cake! The room was fresh and very clean and equipped with everything we could possibly need... Breakfast was really well cooked especially the pancakes. We would definately recommend (and have)the langdale view gu. The location was excellent, very central with car parking provided. The rooms very spacious with a generous sized bathroom. There were plenty "little touches" added to the room and extra's provided (ie torches, umbrella's, biscuits etc). The breakfast was beautiful - spoilt for choice with the selection and fabulous pancakes! We found the owners most friendly and pleasant and able to offer lots of advice on local walks etc. Would thoroughly recommend this accomodation and we will definately ret. Anne Marie was so friendly and gave us lots useful information about places to visit and good places to eat. We arrived early but our room was waiting for us.We were really made to feel welcome. Lots nice thoughtful extras included ie delicious biscuits which were always replaced .A fridge on the landing where you could keep things cool. There were even umbrellas for each room and dvds to watch. The breakfast was fantastic and there was even a specials menu board. We had a really lovely time. Really nice atmosphere in the hotel. You are welcomed and greeted at the hotel in a very pleasant manor by the owner. The room we stayed in was excellent, so comfortable and relaxing. One of the perks is that you are able to use the spa which is 5 minutes walk away. It is nicely situated to walk everywhere, we didn't touch the car once we got there which was really nice for us. I highly recommend this hotel and I will be sure to stay there again in the future. Lovely welcome, made us feel at home right away. The room was clean and tidy and the shower room was the same. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, can recommend the full English. The Kedgeree was also very nice but that was from the specials board so may not always be on (if you want anything from the specials board you have to order it the night before). All in all we had a very pleasant stay, highly recommended. We really enjoyed our stay here in this very comfortable guest house. The breakfasts were wonderful and beautifully cooked and served and the comaraderie was good with Anne-Marie. Rooms very comfortable with every mod con you could think of. A parking space for each of the rooms which was really a big perk in such a small place as Bowness. Fabulous short break. Made to feel very welcome. Beautiful room and gorgeous view. Really clean, warm and extremely comfortable. Lots of attention to detail so all needs catered for. Good choice of food. Great location... quiet spot but close to all amenities. Have already recommended to family and friends and will be back!. Langdale veiw was a two minute walk from the lake and the restaurants and shops . Also we had a free pass to use at the old England hotel and spa which was given to us when we arrived, which we did use to go for a swim , and a sauna. Also the owners of langdale veiw guest house were lovely and made us feel very welcome. Excellent guest house the owners were very welcoming, the room was very clean and comfortable and had everything you need, the breakfast menu was really good we had the full English and it was one of the best breakfasts I have had on holiday. Anne-Marie's homemade jams were lovely. I would definitely stay here again. We had the most wonderful stay. Our rooms were beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. Ann Marie was a fantastic hostess and the breakfasts were amazing. She has thought of everything. The location was perfect, just down a little alley and you are on the Main Street. Perfect 10 out of 10. We absolutely loved it. We enjoyed the lovely comfy bed the tea and coffee facility's with those lovely biscuits the breakfast was lovel and kept you going all day in fact there was everything there it was lovely and ideal for walking into town we really enjoyed the whole weekend well done to all involved in running this establishment. excellent hosts Anne-Marie and paul made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived until we left.very clean comfortable room with with so many little extras such as quality shower gel, soap,cotton wool,towels,iron plus ironing board the list is endless.superb choice and quality breakfast.highly recommended. We stayed in the Langdale room at the very top of the house, it was superb - excellent views across the lake, a nice big bed and clean bathroom. Highly recommended!. Everything was very clean. The hosts Ann-Marie and Paul were extremely friendly and helpful. They even offered us an early breakfast on the day of our departure. And you definitely won't miss that one. The restaurant recommendations from Paul for dinner were excellent choices, thanks a lot. Lovely breakfasts with locally sourced quality ingredients. I especially liked the home made jams. The room was tastefully decorated in a modern style with an extremely comfy bed. Very welcoming hosts who allowed us to leave our car parked in their car park even though we were hours early!. Everything and I mean, everything was thought of at Langdale. From the the big fluffy towels to the proper coffee filter packs in room and the lovely toiletries (including hair conditioner in the bathroom) was thought of. Anne-Marie and Paul have thought of everything. We had a brilliant time. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The staff were lovely, welcoming and wanted to help. We liked everything about Langdale View because it is close to the centre of Windermere. Can't fault it. nothing to dislike... Had no complaints whatsoever - only wished we had been staying longer. Everything was perfect. Parking was a little limited and it was difficult to turn round when other cars were parked (could be bad driving!). Access from and on the road was quite narrow. It isn't a hotel though so this is probably to be expected. Minor issue. no complaints whatsoever. I'm a tall guy, and I wished the bed would have been slightly longer. There was nothing we didn't like. Nothing. Narrow access road could be a problem with large cars. Car park is adequate for number of rooms but if you have a very big car may be difficult to manoeuvre in and out. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing to dislike. There was nothing we disliked. Nothing!. we didn't have any negative views. access by car. Nothing. Shower pressure was a touch weak. I can't think of anything. It was not overpriced by in comparison with other establishments in Bowness, but in general I think that they are all rather too expensive for the service they provide. The view from the premises is not spectacular, but this didn't spoil our visit. Nothing, it was perfect. Not applicable. Nothing.
