To my surprise, the services where nothing compared to what I've read online. If something, it is better than I've ever expected as for the apartments are extremely bigger and more beautiful than the pictures online. Everywhere is properly cleaned, all equipments and facilities are up and running, good customer service, 24hr room service and you find taxis parked outside all the time(24hr).

  Konak Hotel is the best - We really enjoyed our 4 nights stay in Istanbul. Friendly and always helping receptionists. Room was arranged every day. My 3 year old son was very comfortable. Room is ideal for couple with one kid. Located very close to Taksim and close to shopping street. Taxis come next to the door. The elevator from 1895 can still run (though not always in use). They sell postcards and other souvenirs about the hotel at the front desk. Really a piece of history! The Breakfast - A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!
