Number one - staff at the hotel. These people are incredible! I can't think of any other hotel anywhere I stayed where people would go out of their way so much to satisfy their guests. They really do everything they possibly can to make you feel comfortable. I would like to thank all of them from all of us, thank you! And they keep it very clean at all times. wszystkie opinie » Everything is spotless. Personnel (reception, porters, cleaning staff) are extremely polite, friendly and helpful in anyway. We could borrow an electronic travelcard (Istanbulkart) to load with credit ourselves for use on all public transport. A spare laptop was also avaible. The hotel is located in a quite corner of the otherwise rather buzy quarters of Karakoy. Most attractions can easily be reached by tram within 15 to 20 minutes. The breakfast room offers a stunning view towards the Asian s. The hotel was beautifully furnished, as soon as we arrived (early) our room wasn't quite ready but they sat us down with Turkish coffee and Turkish delight and spent about ten minutes going over a map with all the tourist attractions and offering to book transfers and anything else we might need including lunch at a great fish restaurant down the road. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. It's in a great location we walked everywhere including the blue mosque, spice markets and grand baz. A really friendly hotel in a near perfect location right by the Bosphorus and a minute walk to the closest tram stop that goes to most of the main sites. The tram also connects easily with Attaturk Airport - the one-way trip costs less than 3 Euros compared with 30 for a taxi. A short walk up the hill takes you to Istiklal street with shops, restaurants and nightlife. The hotel has only been opened for 6 months, in a newly refurbished building on the portside of Karakoy. The rooftop brekfast room provides great views over the Bosphorous and Galata Tower. A very convenient location for visiting most places of interest in the city centre, not far from the Karakoy tram stop. Only 2 min walk to the best baklava and . Lovely boutique hotel in a great location and at a very affordable price. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The location is perfect - close to the tram if you're not much of a walker, or an easy walk across the Galata Bridge and to many of the popular sites. Also, if you are willing and able to trek uphill, it is a short walk to the Galata Tower and to the popular İstiklal Avenue. Given the horrible traffic in Istanbul, staying in a tram line hotel is quite wise decision. Karakoy Port hotel is just 3 minutes walking to Tophane station. Hotel staff is very friendly and allowed us extending checkout time. The variety of Breakfast is versatile and the view is stunning. Room is relatively small and the seaview is actually partially seaview. On fifth floor, the city view of more than two Mosques is a plus. The Hotel location is great. It takes 10 min on the tram to Sultanahmet ( old part ) and 10 min in the opposite direction to Taksim square and Istiklal Avenue. Eminonu ferry station is 15min walk over Galata bridge if you wish to take a ferry to Asian part and Istanbul Bosphorus tour. Hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. Would book again. It's a great place to stay because the people who work in the reception is super nice and helpful to provide lots useful information. Excellent value. very helpful staff, it looks like you come to friends. we asked to change a room (it was a little bit noisy on a 2nd floor), and it was done fast and without any doubts. The room is a bit small by us standards, but then again - where in Europe are they bigger for the same kind of money? Nonetheless, it fit four adults, and we felt quite allright. The fancy furniture is a bit oversized for the small rooms and not positioned efficiently. A proper chair is missing - there is an ottoman though - and so are a few wallhooks to hang coats ea. The curtains aren't wide enough to block all daylight. Minor flaws that shouldn't keep future guests from booking this otherwise fine hotel. Walls were a little thin but we had ear plugs so not a major problem. No complaints!. The lift could have been a bit bigger to accommodate guests at busier times. Nothing. washroom: shower floor is very slippery without any mat. After a few days like with many hotels the breakfast menu became a little boring, but it as satisfactory and there was plenty of food. The coffee was weak for my taste. Nothing. Beds too hard for my taste. Could really improve if used memory foam pads (or softer mattresses) and higher quality bedding and towels. nothing. No thing. No view at all from my room (wall at 1m from window). I ordered a room without view on the Bosporus but expected at least some view on the city instead. We were two adults and two children. The room for three plus an extra bed was very very small. I do not believe they should even allow to add the extra bed. There was noise coming from the corridors and through walls, which was a bit much. Nothing. Nothing. Not being able to stay a couple of nights. It is true what the other reviewers said about the thin walls. Our room was next to the elevator door and we could hear normal conversations word for word of guests waiting for the elevator. So God knows what the guests outside heard coming from our room. :) - Soundproofing walls and doors would be a good idea. some noise at times. Nothing. The roof was always full of smokers. My daughter fell down the steep stairs from the roof carrying a baby. Two days earlier, a friend also fell down the same stairs. They are dangereous!. Nothing. Nothing. It was very difficult to find - two different taxis took me to the wrong place. The bathroom smelled horrible when I arrived, but improved once I ran the water down all the drains. The "view" of the water was blocked by massive cruise ships. If cruise ships where docked they restricted view from room. Room a little small for 4 night stay. Not quite enough choice at breakfast for hot items. Room was kinda small for us but ok.. TV is in Turkish only? The restaurant serves breakfast only.. Nothing really to complain about, except that like many Turkish hotels the breakfast buffet does not have much fruit, if any at all.
