  Had a great stay for 9 nights from the 1st Feb in the SM resort. I booked a suite in the 6th floor with balcony and was very large with a great design . Also benefited of a rooftop sunbathing terrace. Breakfast was ok , same as you find in other hotels . A supermarket next door which is handy. A pool in the hotel which I used once .   Absolutely perfect! Staff very kind, always smiling, trying to speak English as much as they can, will help whenever you need them.   The location is perfect in Patong, just a small walk from Bangla road, but also down a side soi so it feels a little removed. The staff are helpful and the facilities are great. We were upgraded to a deluxe room from a superior at no extra charge. The bed base was a little squeaky, but being in Patong we had a bit of a laugh about it.
