Which only has advantages: calm street (no noisy bars), nice views from the room, all services are provided from the resort.... Amazing attention to detail and value for money! Hotel looks exactly like the photos and everything from the amenities to the food and service were impeccable. Love the teddies. Food/drinks in the minibar was filled up for free everyday. Kata was a great choice - along a lovely beach and away from the hustle and bustle in Patong. Hotel is situated on a hill but you can rent a motorbike for 350b/day to get around easily (you can rent it on the cheap outside but then you'd have to walk up the hil

was quite and clean, beds were softer than most we have stayed in before such as sugar palm resort.
Close to the safer part of kata beach for swimming/surfing.
New restaurants have opened up around the hotel with great food, a bit higher priced but you get what you pay for, this end of kata is really starting to take of.
Friendly staff with a few who understand english very well, would stay here again.

The rooms were fantastic, we had a grand deluxe, the staff amazing so attentive and always happy and smiling. As far as location goes I would never stay in patong or karon , although we did tuktuk most days to patong I still love kata beach . This is my second stay with Avista Kata Beach. The last time was with my wife for honeymoon. In general, I am very satisfied with the stay for both times. The facility is quite new and clean with a stylish design. I stayed with a deluxe room on the 4th floor with the pool view, but I can also enjoy a good sea view from the balcony. The location of the hotel is on the way up to the hill, but it's very convenient for a 5 mins walk to the beach and the restaurants. I would definitely go there agai

Really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Beach towels provided and free WIFI. The breakfast buffet catered for all. Trainee receptionist Mai from Had Yai deserves special mention as was always at the desk and a pleasure to met and was very accommodating. - Abdolutey perfect from beginning to end 9 days of bliss. We love The Palmery Resort & Spa, especially my 2 girls. We stayed here end of March'13 for 4 nights. The resort is new, staffs were all smiles, helpful and attentive from their front desk, housekeeping, bellman to their night security guard.
