Wonderful to stay in an historic building but with really high quality features. The breakfasts were incredible, definitely worth having and at €5 were an absolute bargain. Loved the quiet, rural location but with easy access to other gorgeous towns - 35 minute train to San Sebastián from Zumaia was a real bonus. Incredibly helpful staff, making excellent suggestions for restaurants, attractions/towns to visit and driving routes added considerably to our enjoyment

We had a flat tire while staying at the hotel and the staff was very cooperative about helping us get it changed and taking us to a tire repair shop to get us back on the road. THis was above and beyond the call of duty. My thanks to the receptionist and the technician.

Though bit pricy its really an amazing spot and hotel. Awesome building, great spacious rooms, good staff. Gourmet restaurant was closed during our stay but the bistro was excellent too. Beautiful terrace to watch the sunset, have to visit the winery too and go for a walk/ cycle around the vineyards. Very nice place. -

Staff were extremely helpful. The receptionist provided detailed directions to us (would never have found the place with these!). Bicycles were provided to us free of charge. Details of what to see and do and where to eat were provided to us. We were allowed an early check in at no extra cost. They even changed the towels in the evening for us. Roo

We liked everything about this hotel: it's location; accessibility to many towns within Rioja; it's friendly and attentive staff; it's relaxed atmosphere; but most of all the architectural design, both interior and exterior, quirky and contemporary. The rooftop terrace was also a major plus.
We would definitely return here and recommend it.

The staff were particularly helpfull especially when the remote control for my car was disabled due to the adjacent government which had a radar exclusion zone. - The room was spacious, newly decorated, spotlessly clean, and elegant. The staff were very friendly and spoke English. We chose this hotel as we were arriving by car and didn't want to drive right into the city centre. The walk into town only takes 10-15 mins. We also loved the movie theme of the hotel and got the Bob Hoskins room. The rooms have DVD players and you can hire for free, movies from the hotel to watch, so we thought this was pretty cool. Can't comment on the breakfast as we went an ate elsewhere.

This Hotel is an upscale modern facility set in a grand old building. It is centrally located in downtown Bilbao walking distance from everything and anything. The hotel would best be characterized, at least subjectively, as business luxury: it is luxurious but not plush. Lastly, it was a very good deal through letsbookhotel.com during the period we stayed. Highly recommended for top level comfort.

I loved the design and art work and the thematic ties with the amazing Guggenhein Museum and Fine Arts Museum, both of which are within such easy walking distance.
