  We loved the house, the breakfasts ,the birds feeding in the patio ,the kindness of the hosts.Parking was easy, on the street outside.Quiet, pleasant little town, which made a good base for visiting the coast and the mountains.We had an excellent stay - many thanks to our hosts.

  Just returned from a touring holiday of Andalucia and the Casa San Jose was without doubt the best of the six hotels we stayed in during our visit. The hotel is a cross between a hotel, a palace and family home and will not disappoint anyone who walks in through the front door - this place certainly has the wow factor! It has been the family home of the owner for over 30 years and is filled with beautiful old furniture and objets d'art. You are asked to make yourself at home.The breakfast is excellent and varied with fresh fruit and an ample Continental breakfast. The owners are friendly and helpful. They gave excellent advice about places to eat and exploring the local area.

The family that run the hotel were very helpful and enthusiastic about sharing the history and geography of the surrounding area and life in a cave house. Both the kids and adults in the family were fascinated and the area around was very attractive with the snow capped Sierra Nevadas in the distance.

  We had a very enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommed the place to anyone. In fact we are looking at the possibilty or returning in the future with friends or family. The caves are spotlessly clean,very comfortable and tastfully decorated. The kids were amazed by the place. The garden, sitting area and pool are excellent as well. A couple of miles to some good shops for food and drink. The owners welcomed us warmly and nothing would be too much for them to help us with although we did not ask for much. Breakfast well worth having. An authentic taste!! and good to boot!! My three girls enjoyed it and the stay all together. Owners clearly took pride in their caves. Unusual and well worth the stay.
