We stayed at The 'Royal Antic' apartment behind Placa Reial. We
were very concerned reading the reviews after I booked this
accommodation and I thought we would either end up somewhere that did
not reflect the photos or with no hot water or air conditioning...I Have

Only one staff members was really unfriendly, but others apologized for his behavior. Perfect location, great overall staff, and cute rooms with great atmosphere. Location of the hostel is good as quite close to the city centre. You
can reach the Rambla street just walking and it takes you around 20
minutes. There is also a metro station near the hostel so can see
further districts of Barcelona taking one of the line. Our room was big
with a comfortable bed and a small tv that was quite nice. There was
also a quite working fan that we found to be very useful espacially at
hot night as did not affect your sleep. We had also a big living room

I loved the presentation of the flats upon entering, the way the beds
were made up, the fact that there was dishwashing liquid, tablets for
the dishwasher, toilet paper, rubbish bags etc just to start. Lovely
touches were the free bottle of wine and water, it's the little
things.... Reception was always friendly and efficient and helpful.

Nice place with all that we need during our Travel!! Realy clean, with air conditioning, situated near Placa de Catalonya, which is the centre of the city. Only few rooms are there, so there is no problem with bathroom. Friendly and helpfull host, with a good advices and words for everyone. I'd like to come back this place asap! -

I like everything very much. The services is great. The rooms were allways clean (the towels changed every day) and confortable. The location of the hostal Oliveta is very convienent. Just couple minutes from metro station Parallel, also you can easily reach the old quarter, La Ramblas on foot. It will take 10-15 minutes to walk.

Stayed for 8 days, in the beginning, the hotel was the mistakes, and they booked us a room to other guests were settled, we proposed a more modest room, two days later freed ours, previously reserved room. There are only 25 rooms in this hotel, so the service was superb. We were addressed on a first-name basis by the staff (great job Javier, Wim, and Ignacio!) We felt extremely welcome and appreciated. The location was unbeatable - 2 minutes to Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya. Rooms were comfortable, efficient, and sleekly designed - and the extra "salon" was a bonus. We also enjoyed the 24-hour complimentary cafe and the personalized breakfast.

There was a lot of information in the hostel for trips and tours, very useful. The staff were very friendly and there was a lot of space to chill out and relax with vending machines for snacks and drinks.

The location was superb for our holiday purposes. Placa Reial was a great buzzy place to be, but yet the double glazing ensured a good night's sleep in our rooms which overlooked it.
The staff were excellent: helpful, knowledgeable, friendly. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them.
We loved the included minibar and breakfast, and the fruits etc provided fresh every day.
