  The position was fabulous for sightseeing and shopping. The apartment was generally clean and facilities were good.   We stayed for 2 nights on our arrival to Madrid (into Atocha Station, which is about a 10 minute walk straight down Calle Atocha); the young, ultra-helpful staff was a pleasure to deal with - they are sharp people and we found no shortage of good English among them. Without exception the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful, and equally happy to speak
