From the moment we arrived Bixen, the owner, made us feel very welcome. The room was large, clean and the bed do comfortable. The views are fabulous, but you need to go to appreciate how pretty it is and quiet. Too tip, it is off the beaten track but follow the signs for Higer (lighthouse) which is not around the coast as I thought and you will soon see signs for 'Higeralde' on your left. Bixon will guide you if lost. You will not get a better view and just sitting out eating breakfast on the t.
wszystkie opinie » The facilities, room and situation are unbeatable. Overlooks east to the Spanish (Hondaribbia) and French (Hendaye) towns. The owner / host is a young enthusiastic, energetic, charming and helpful man... Etc...this is a fantastic place to stay and explore the intriquing Basque area. It is a bit hard to find. Set the sat nav to find the (also excellent) 'Arroka berri' restaurant. Keep going up the hill and look for the green signs to cr higeralde. Pay attention for the hidden left turn about a k. the house, the room (which was big enough for our baby and our daugther), the service, the kindness of the owners, the surrounding, the breakfast was also excellent. It is a place to be and to recommend to everyone. The views are just wonderful and really close to the city by car. We will be back for sure. The location is hard to find but we were lucky and escorted personnally by the Ertzaintza!!. We received a warm welcome from our young host who runs an excellent business. The room was spotlessly clean and had wonderful views over the Bay of Biscay and the town of Hondarribia. Next morning´s breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, yogurts, bread, cold meat, tea and coffee and was freshly prepared by our host. My mom and I stayed there for 2 nights and had the time of our lives! Breathtaking view, perfect location! Clean and beautifully designed. The owner was extra nice, we had trouble finding the place so he came and picked us up, preparerd us an amazing dinner and helped us plan our day trip. AMAZING!!!. It is an amazing place in a picturesque surrounding overlooking the sea and Basque beaches up from the mountain. The house is beautifully designed, a combination of tradition and modernity, rooms are big and full of light, service is excellent. We are looking forward to our next stay!. A hidden gem with a million dollar view. Great value for the bucks. Rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. One of the best B&B we have stayed at and the view of Hondarribia, the beach, mountains,whole panorama is fantastic. Incredible view of the coastal towns on Spanish-French border. Room was large & very comfortable. Had trouble getting a taxi on Sunday morning so Marie (?) gave us a ride to the train station in Irun. Beautiful views, very high standard of accommodation. Good quality build. The host very friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable. Anything you needed it was provided. Would return again and again. Michel was an excellent host and the situation is just wonderful. A very well managed, friendly and comfortable place to stay. We highly recommend it. Probably the best B&B we have ever stayed in world wide. Location a little hard to find but stunning location and views. Very hospitable host. The large room, with a stunning view over the harbour. Location, owner, facility were all very good. Freshly prepared breakfast, wonderful views. Everything, including the view!. all excellent. We had to leave. I don't know enough about Basque history. Am now reading 'the basque history of the world' (Kurlansky). It is hard to find, up on the hillside. Take his ordinates for your gps. A little hard to find but that is outweighed by the fantastic view & comfort. Nothing. Hard to find; tortuous narrow road from the town. Poor sound insulation from upstairs, where we could hear all conversations, phone calls, people walking round. nothing. Difficult to find but well worth the effort. Your maps could be improved. Walking up the hill to get there! But it did help to work off the food and wine after going out in town. Need to add a simple sketch of how to deal with the local round-abouts to find the place on the website. The weather, it rained while we were there!. I am using garmin and the location is N43 22.764 W001 48.274.
