The staff, very friendly,helpful and always taking time to speak to guests.The girls serving breakfast were a delight to meet, always smiling and starting the day with a lovely good morning and how are you today mr.James.Hotel location in Stellenbosch is very central and although i didn't have a car the private parking is good for those who do as the street parking may be difficult. Stellenbosch is a lovely place to visit and to sample some very good wine and food.

The whole stay was very pleasant with friendly, efficient staff, comfortable room, lovely courtyard for breakfasts, drinks or just to sit and enjoy. Our room was spacious with small balcony overlooking the pool which was very welcome on hot days. Staff made me feel very welcome and at home which is important as a solo traveller. My apartment was wonderful, it had everything i needed and more. Extremly comfortable... Excellent central location. Would definatly stay again. The location is excellent and the secure parking on a main street is very convenient. The new extensions are beautiful and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and accomodating. I liked the fact that I had an apartment and was able to spread out and work in the evenings. I very much enjoyed the delicious breakfasts and the cheerful, helpful staff. The staff were excellent, the location is right in the centre of town and the hotel is charming. Location - right in heart of Stellenbosch Charm of old building Generally friendly staff. I didn't like that my iPhone 5 could not access the WIFI in my apartment. It could only access it in the restaurant. I was cold on the first evening because I did not know how to reverse the Air Conditioning. However staff showed me how to do this on the second day. I found the furnishings in my apartment rather old and 'tired'. I was comfortable but thought the decor was a little depressing. I stayed in a apartment, complimentary slippers would have been nice as the floor was very cold. Lack of hooks and hanging space in room; temperamental safe, no business centre, very small pool, bad smell outside room prior to bins being taken away, unreliable wi-fi. The glitzy new wing. I ordered two English Breakfasts, with two fried eggs for the one, and scrambled eggs for the second. When the breakfasts arrived, there was no bacon, mushrooms, or tomatoes ... I thought the expression "English Breakfast" meant the above. So we had to wait some time before the other food arrived, by which time the eggs were cold . No sitting room with a fireplace, too few TV channels and no wi-fi in the room. Dining room deserted in evening apart from large coach party. Bathroom location within room. Should be more private, shower and toilet area too small. Nothing. The bathroom needs upgrading. I knew it was clean but didn't feel like it. The shower spout delivers the water very close to the wall. Makes it tricky to get under the water.the renovations that were being done. noise and dust. The wi-fi was terrible. The bathroom was old and not so clean. The room that I had booked on Booking . com was not the room that I received. The payment had already been debited from my account when I wanted to pay on departure. This was not meant to happen. Parts need a little updating. being right next to a pub that was noisy all day until past 10pm i asked to me moved and was told that i would have to pay more. this option was not offered to me when i did the booking.
