  The owners of the Melvin Houser are fantastic... we arrived late at night, 2 days ahead of our reservation, due to travel changes, and not only did they allow us to change our reservation right then, but they were lovely about it and so warm and helpful, even letting us hop on their personal computer to cancel our Joburg hotel that night.Breakfast... co mówią ludzie » was lovely, and the location is great...just a short walk to the Union Buildings. - I would recommend Melvin Residence to anyone on business or taking kids to University in Pretoria.   There have been many renovations since last staying there - including maintenance of the bathrooms and freshly painted and decorated walls. The rooms are always extremely clean and the staff superb. Along with that, the Manhattan Hotel has the best buffet breakfast of any of the Pretoria hotels I have stayed in (with exception to the Sheraton- ... co mówią ludzie » but that comes at a price!). - Staff were very helpful and efficient. Shuttle bus available for various transfers and journeys. Location was next to Gautrain station which was really convenient. The area outside and around the hotel was a busy urban setting but felt safe and the access to shops, museums and parks was straightforward and involved short walks.
