Amazing breakfast with fresh fruits and continental option, along with the classic cooked option. Recommend the scrambled eggs. We had the premium room and it was very tastefully furnished, very spacey and comfortable. Nice pool area with honesty bar and wood burner - perfect to sit in front of on a chilly evening with a bottle of wine. The owner Tim is very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant place to stay. We were in the outside cottage - fairly basic but absolutely adequate. Very bright with white everywhere, giving the place an opportunity to display how spotlessly clean everything was. The owner was the larger than life Tim, a real character. Breakfast was great. The location was superb being only a few minutes drive to Thesen island waterfront or just take a stroll around leisure island. It was idyllic. Tim even had my car washed. "It goes better when its clean"

The place is really amazing! It feels like in living in a jungle. All huts are uniquely designed and the staff is just great. They help you with everything you want and were really helpful and friendly. Their welcoming of us as a family (We travelled with two kids and my parents) was honest and open hearted. Has a hippie-feeling touch as it being really relaxed. Top rated: I'll go back anytime. One of our ZA highlights!! Many thanx to Bamboo!! Matthias from Berlin

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rooms, it was much bigger than expected. The staff was very effecient and friendly. The hotel it self is beautiful and will surely be part of "places to photograph on holiday" very unique. The breaksfast served was plentiful and well prepared. Great place to stay with fantastic views of the lagoon and area. The owners are great and full of knowledge of the area and suggestions for things to do. If you want a quiet place to relax above the town then this place is perfect. Also, if you want to play golf they can help you out with some great deals as well.

Everything. Being in the travel industry, I have been to many guest houses, and this one by far is my favourite. Very clean, very comfy, but mostly, very friendly. I will only come back to Herons guest house in the future! -

What a quaint and pretty B&B. The 2 ladies who run this guesthouse were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The position of this B&B overlooking the lagoon is beautiful with many places to eat and drink just 10 minutes walk away. An excellent place to stay when travelling the garden route. Breakfast was also catered for

We found the rooms very spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was superb and the view over the gardens and lagoon from the breakfast room was sublime. Joe was very hospitable and friendly whilst the 20 minute walk to the waterfront was pleasant and safe. A great base if you are planning to stay a while in Knysna with easy access and lots of off-street parking
