The staff were very welcoming - I was a bit hungry when I arrived at
10pm, and I was given a plate of grapes, two pieces of delicious coconut-
topped sponge cake and two apples - on the house. Breakfast at 4 Euros
50 was plentiful and delicious. They twice booked taxis for me, which
came very promptly. The place has a rustic atmosphere, which I liked and
it's perfectly situated in the Old Town. Yes, the recycling vehicle
came and there was crashing of bottles early in the morning on Friday

Comfortable room with modern ensuite. Friendliness and welcoming attitude of the staff.
This accommodation is attached to a local cafe - tavern, however there were no disturbances from any noise in our room.
The food served at this establishment was great value for money and tasty such that we ate all of our meals there. Normally we choose to sample food away from our accommodation but in this instance we couldn't see ourselves finding a more congenial place to eat. Many locals frequented this .
The food served at Penzion Portus was the best meal we had in Bratislava plus the best value for money and the bar area was very atmospheric and relaxing. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is superb being very central whilst tucked away in a side street. Our room was quirky, atmospheric and very clean. We had an excellent stay.
Very good location, close to Bratislava Old town district and Danube river. Quite and safety with car parking just in front of the hotel. We had to leave next day early in the morning and as per our request the breakfast was ready served at 07:00 hrs.! Thanks to the Owners Miro for hospitality and attentive care!.
Lovely place! Great location, just 2mn for the old center and 20mn walk from the train station and bus station.
The staff is really nice and friendly, lovely people. Breakfast was great and food at the restaurant delicious. Really good value for money.
I recommend Penzion Portus and would definitely go back.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Gave me a refund for solo use of room. I did not have to ask. They initiated the refund. Good location that's a few minutes walk from the heart of the old town. Also a short bus ride from Keleti train station and a minute from the Danube river side.
The location is perfect just few steps to Old town, danube river and the castle. Room is clean and comfort, internet works well. Satffs were friendly. Valued for money.
10 min. to Vienna hydrofoil, 5-10 min. to old town, 10 min. to palace.
Room was available and they let me check in at 11 o'clock. Staff was helpful and friendly.
The owner and staff were very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The food was excellent and the accommodations were clean.
Excellent location, just around the corner from the historical center. And the hotel was very easy to find. The helpful owner was very nice and helpful.
The location was excellent, just a minutes walk to The Old Town and the same to The Danube.
Friendly staff, good meals, perfect location, very reasonable price, free WiFi.
-"Easy going and friendly" personal.
-Location and quietness in the same time.
Staff was so present and always available to help his guests.
The welcome beer and the relaxed feel of the place.
Great location, Friendly staff, Super clean.
Very friendly atmosphere.
Penzion Portus is right in de centre of Bratislava, in a rather quiet street. The owner is friendly and hospitable (he offered a free drink on arrival, for instance). Facilities are simple, but for the price, that is to be expected. The bed was really good and everything was clean. The breakfast (separately paid) was simple, but lavish.
The free wifi is good. You could ask the staff to prepare breakfast for you and the price is quite resonable. There are also free coffee, teas, and water. There is one supermaket, Billa, nearby. It's quite convenient.
Good location in the city centre, clean rooms, helpful staff.
Location and cosy bar area downstairs.
Friendly helpful staff. Best value breakfast we had on our trip. Great location.
Almost nothing.
There was nothing I disliked.
There is no lift so this may be a problem for some travellers. Also, steep stairs as is found in many places around Europe.
Not a problem for us.
Nothing.
Nothing major but the pillows were too small.
Limited of facilities and there is no shower, soap and towel but it's fine if your prepare for yourself.
interior design old and not so comfortable but this is a budget friendly penzion , what could i expect. You can survive.
We liked everything. We have no complaints.
The room was a bit dark and it was difficult to read.
Two or three days a week there is a little noise on the street, around 6:30 am, caused by mechanized garbage collection.
Don't being able to stay longer.
Nothing.
Leaving.
In the bathroom, things tended to tumble down a bit and the shower doors didn't slide easily. But the main thing is there is no parking space, and parking in the centre of Bratislava is expensive. I ended up paying almost as much for my car as for the room.
Not every staff speaks English but they will try to communicate with you. There is no service in the afternoon and evening during weekends (but if you ask, they are also available). It would be a bit noisy on Friday night.
Room was pokey and dark - there was little light and no views. The
room was shabby with a damp patch on plaster and some of the light
bulbs did not work - the shower enclosure needs upgrading. Its not
suitable for a family - as normally you would expect a double and 2
single beds - what is provided is 5 single beds. The breakfast was
expensive for what was offered.
A little basic but good value.
When you check in the proprietor wants to take you luggage to the room and check you in before you see the room. There is a reason for this. I believe most people would leave if they saw the room first. The rooms are above a small crowded, noisy bar located in a small alley near the center of town. The beds are cots with seat cushions. A double bed was two twins six feet apart. If it hadn't been raining for several days it would have been hot.
