I have been staying in this hotel for six days. After long flight from Australia I had great time to relax in a comfort atmosphere. Fantastic! Very welcoming staff, great rooms -brand new and clean. I liked everything, almost. Especially the staff of the hotel and the
cleanliness of the room. The design of the rooms is also very
attractive. I has a room in black and white which I liked a lot. The
food at supper was very good. But unlike it was the case in one of the
previous review of the hotel (from Poland), the supper was not free of
charge. I paid for it ;)

Without a doubt the best thing about this hotel is the location - it is situated right in the historic centre of St. Petersburg, all sights are very close - I managed to visit a lot in a very short time and didn't even have to use Russian public transport (which leaves a lot to be desired!!).

The Anchikov has only a few rooms and the staff really treat all of their guests like a kings and queens. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left the staff did everything to make my stay a pleasurable one. We really enjoyed staying at the hotel. Authentic Petersburg style:) It is very cosy, clean and it has really comfortable bed.This part of the city is not very noisy so no disturbance during your sleep.
I also liked that breakfast is delivered to your room, no need to get fully ready and dressed before you go to eat - you can enjoy it at the comfort of your own room. The toasts, eggs and sausages were just cooked before serving.
