We had an apartment on the second floor of a four unit building. The small outside deck faced the fjord, which was nice. Free parking. The facility has a restaurant, with very average food and high prices (high prices are typical in Norway). very friendly and thoughtful owner. we were nicely surprised when he upgrated us (without being asked) to a private apt from a motel room due to the fact the motel where we booked a room was crowdy and full of quite loud large group teenagers. He also exchanged our currency, gave us grat info/suggestions. The place is very clean and neat, with amazing location. Thank you

The location is excellent, just 3 mins walk to railway station and port. Monica is very kind and try to pick up us at railway station even we drive by ourself. The hostel do not have so many rooms and we shared a three room apartment with an Italian family. The room for our family is too small but Ok for a one night stay. The location is excellent, just around the corner from Balestrand and 500m from the ferry. It is also a good base for lots of walks. We had the 3 course dinner at the hotels restaurant which was yummy but the best was the wonderful view while eating dinner. We could see dolphins in the fjord! Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was very clean.
