  The historic associations of the Hotel and location. The room was a four star one and was excellent. We liked looking around the hotel and finding out more of its history. Some reviewers inaccurately reported the hotel as being a prison previously.   Very nice hotel, very easy to get into Amsterdam by local transport. - the location is excellent, the relation price-quality is great, very convinient to get to the center by bus, and a very copious breakfast
