It was a big risk to book a two stars hotel but I took it based on the high customer review. I was right. The staff were really nice and helpful. When we checked in, the desk agent, named Naddy (sp?) was great. He made sure room was going to accommodate the four of us and all our luggage, and although he warned us of the huge climb to the top floor, we would most likely be happiest there. I imagine he was right. Although it was an attic-like room, it was suitable. Location of apartment is probably the best feature...also nice to have the breakfast food in the mornings.

I liked all of it - this is a quirky, little hotel which has the best location - 10 minutes from main station and 2 minutes from Anne Frank's house. Small room but everything you need, including a little fridge, tea and coffee and a complimentary drink when you arrive. Very friendly, efficient staff. Best value for your money (I personally felt like I was paying less than my stay's worth). Comfortable, clean and accommodating. You're in Amsterdam you're not supposed to stay in your hotel so the room's small size shouldn't matter .

The room was great. The owner was very nice and always helpful. It's within a reasonable walking distance from central station and there is plenty to do in the area if you decide to stay near the hotel. Perfect for couples and students. If I ever came back to Amsterdam, I'm looking up the sipermann first. - Very clean and warm, bathroom spotless.
