Amsterdam's a walkable city and the Avanti is just right in the Middle of the City a 7 minutes walk from the Central Station! Made life really easy as I could explore and return at anytime without bothering when the tram and the like would close.
Dave and Annie are also extremely helpful and nice, showed us the Best places to go to, where to eat, how to move and the like, felt at home.
Breakfast added too was great as well as the fridge and microwave so we could get up at anytime and make a qui. wszystkie opinie »
Brilliant location, excellent facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Food and drink excellent and very reasonably priced. Comfortable, very clean and well looked after. The Avanti was a pleasure to stay on.
Our hosts went out of their way to provide help, information and warmth to us, and we really couldn't have asked for anything more. The ship is very well kitted out, and anything you might need has already been thought of, and is easy to access. A lovely place to chill, with a homely atmosph.
Fabulous location, boat lovely, warm and cosy with great tunes and breakfast, microwave, fridge and beer fridge a bonus. Anni and Dave are fantastic hosts,
and nothing is too much trouble and Dave's hair has to be seen to be believed - you'll love it ha ha haaaa I can't recommend the Avanti highly enough, more of an 'experience' never laughed so much as seeing my husband get in the top bunk - hilarious fun and you have to get 'Captain Dave' to take you out for a spin in his boat, priceless a.
On the way back from a work trip I decided to stay in Amsterdam for an extra night. Dave and Anny were really welcoming and the they definitely go the extra mile. After a 10 mins of sitting and chatting with them and the other guests all the stress of the work week had been blown away.
Fantastic hosts who bring their guests right into their home and provide a very warm and memorable experience. The Place is really clean and cabins are well kept and the boat is in a decent location.
Thanks guys.
We are at a loss for words. This was the greatest stay we ever had. So you can imagine what to expect, here the most important facts about the Avanti and the simply great hosts: very helpful, were very free with the guests, good breakfast, lovely boat in a perfect location for going out, friendly athmosphere, amazing view... That are only some impressions. I really didnt want to leave. It was our first time on a boat and we slept surprinsingly well! If you love to have some unique days in Amste.
We were a little dubious about staying on a ship but it was great. The lovely couple (Anni and Dave) that run the ship were helpful and so friendly. The location was also great. It is not in the centre of town per se but nothing in Amsterdam is far away and being near to the train station is a big plus for getting to/from Amsterdam.
Rooms and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The communal space at the top of the ship was a nice place to hang out and chat to the other passengers.
We loved everything! The boat, amazing, Annie and Dave, amazing, the city, amazing!!
We would advise all travelers young and old, rich or poor to stay on the Passengership Avanti with Capitan Dave and amazing Annie. These guys are the best at what they do. Its a home from home with the best views and company. Thoroughly enjoyed every moment, hated that it had to end. We love you guys and we will definitely be back ASAP!
Much love from Blackpool =)
P.s. Capitan Dave has beautiful hair.
Location and The fact that we could sleep on boat in Amsterdam at budget friendly rate. The Avanti's target market is for budget travellers between 18 - 35, we do not fit that category, however they really did go the extra mile to assist us, from assisting us with heavy bags, to organising transport to station. They really went the extra mile and it was a lovely experience. I have to mention that breakfast were included in already good room rate.
Good location near the Central station, red light district, NEMO and Ship museum. It was a wonderful experience to live in the boat but with the all facilities like in a hotel. Annie and Dave, thank you for all you do for the quests! The breakfast is amazing, free drinks and snacks during the whole day, clean rooms and linen. With best wishes, guests from Kazakhstan :) We will recommend your cozy boat to all our friends for unusual eurotrip!.
just copy and paste this into the green text box, the positives "We had a really great time!! Anni & Dave were really cool, they showed us where to go and what to do, things that tourists don't know about as well. It was our first time in Amsterdam so we needed advice!! The lounge was nice and cosy, like being at home. The beer fridge was great as well!! Also try the cheesy nachos!!".
Captain Dave was without doubt the greatest human in modern day history, he ran a tighter ship than Christopher Colombus, had the feng shui style of Linda Barker, the Culinary expertise and appearance of Anthony Worrall Thompson, the Wit of Freddie Starr and above all the Charm of Russel Bland.
The captain and manager of this ship was , is , and always will be My Hero, oh and Bezs too.
Everything was perfect, the place is situated in the center of Amsterdam and it is perfect as well!! We stayed in the sheep for 5 nights, it was clean and cosy.
Dave and Anny were really friendly and even showed us another side of Amsterdam by boat (for free). We didn't want to leave, so if you decide to stay here, stay for 6 days min!
P.S. Dave's hair are unbelievable!!.
This is a delightful gem of a place.
The hosts, Dave and Annie, made us feel very welcome. We miss them already! Their generous hearts and friendliness truly make you feel at home. We have stayed in many different places in Amsterdam, but from now on we will stay in only one -- this one -- which has become our home away from home. Thanks Dave and Annie!!.
"location location, great value for money."
Basic accommodation but the bed was comfy, had lovely clean linen and there is nice hot showers. For a boat it was surprisingly warm and cosy with a well served variety of foods for a buffet breakfast. Anni and Dave were fantastic hosts and i will definately stay here again.10 out of 10.
Dave and Annie are friendly accommodating hosts that enjoy greeting
every new guest and knowing their names. They are helpful with
information on Amsterdam. The Breakfast buffet offers variety. The over
all atmosphere is casual and relaxed, the lounge is open 24 hrs with
snacks and drinks available. Would return.
Hostel is run by a wonderful, open and friendly couple from GB that created an amazing atmosphere. We really felt welcome and good with you, thanks a lot!´
Be aware you're booking on a ship! The cabin have bunk beds with little portholes - might be challengin for long persons. For us it was perfect!.

Annie and Dave are great, make you feel really welcome and the whole boat has a really chilled atmosphere. Thanks for recommendations on where to go out in the evening too - we had a great time :).
Booked this for the novelty of staying on a barge. Breakfast was good and the owners helped to organise my taxi for 4.30am!! The rooms are very small but the photographs do show that.
It is a boat. It cannot be better than that. Free coffee/tea for the entire day. Amazing view of the sea. The common area is just so cozy that the only problem is not wanting to leave.
People make places. The skippers - he and she - do nothing special but you feel yourself at home. Good breakfast. Staying on the boat is true romantic inspite of the small berths.
The location and the boat is loveley and extraordinaire. But more than this the home-atmosphare and the great care of Dave and Anny is wonderful! Folks, we definetly meet again!.
Cheap, close to the city centre and clean. Excellent Service. The "Captain" of the boat makes you feel at home.
Big buffet breakfast.
Having breakfast in the boat is priceless.
Loved the atmosphere and the breakfast was really good! Everything was perfect, great job guys, we will definitely go back to Amsterdam next year and stay at your lovely boat.

Good breakfast.
EVERYTHING.
The ship is very well located and very very clean.
Captain Dave and his wife annie are very nice.
Very nice and helpful staff from England, the place of the hotel, clean
sheets, seaprete sink in a room.
Loved the originality of staying on a Dutch Barge. Close to central town and the hosts were great.
Friendly and helpful staff
Rather quiet those days we stayed even though the hotel was fully booked.
Young and helpful couple keep this botel, cosy and easy athmosphere, top location, very satisfied!.
friendly atmosphere, very helpful crew, cosy cabins, excellent location, not too noisy at night,.
Very friendly , easy going staff. Amazing place to stay ,very close to the heart of Amsterdam .
The atmosphere and the staff were fantastic. You honestly could not ask for a better location.
Size, the Cabins and the Bunks and the Windows where all small (but then, its a Boat).
That we had to leave :-(.
Nothing really negative to say. It wasn't big, but what do you expect from a cabin on a small ship!.
nothing!.
The rooms are tiny, but hey you're on a boat.
There's nothing to say here, everything was more and better than expected!.
He told me a scary story once.
The rooms were rather tiny -- nobody's fault -- but the welcoming atmosphere more than made up for that.
If you are uncomfortable in very small spaces and have trouble with
steep stairs this may not be your place. At 195cm I was able to fit into
the lower bunk, barely, but slept well.
The bunk beds in the room were a challenge. Very small.
Our cabin was really tiny! And unfortunately there were some noisy guests checking out ultra early and there is not really any sound proofing - well, it is a ship!.
room is a little small but make sense for this price and perfect location.
Rooms were too small and toilet smelt like humidity all the time.
Didn't like the steep stairs down - but thanks Captain Dave for carrying our bags! So long as you hold onto the wall it's fine!.
Saw that linens were included in the price and assumed this meant towels too. I was wrong so had to go and buy a towel as had not taken one with me.
It is a boat. The rooms are very small. Internet did not work in our room.
Fresh breeze.
The second bed above is a bit smaller, more covering.
No problem for me - my son loved it ;-).
Despite the toilets were always clean.on the morning there are some smells coming from the showers.
Rooms are fairly small but only to be expected on a boat.
There is an emergency mobilephone on the door, next time, please answer. We had a friend who checked my mails to enter the boat. Not very funny, even if I got lost :).
Everything was great- the rooms are small - but its a boat and you should not expect anything else.
Bit more variety at breakfast needed but that's just my taste.
Rooms are too small.
the fact i couldnt stay longer!!!.
The upperbed was very small, and the shower floor was really wet after taking a shower.
we had to pay cash, no pin facilities.
Small room (maybe it's normal because it's a boat).
