  We stopped in Taroudant en route to Essaoiura from the desert. As it happened, it was our one cloudy day in two weeks but despite the dank weather we ventured into the Medina city. It's only small, unlike sprawling Marrakech and provides a better reflection of ordinary Moroccan life. The receptionist was very welcoming and - A wonderful Riad with most beautifully and individually decorated and very clean rooms. Based on the very good description and fotos sent by the Riad after booking, it was very easy to find the Riad. All the staff, especially Ben, are very friendly and kind, so we enjoyed our stay very much. Our kids loved the wonderful little pool (which they could use even late at night). We would recommend this Riad to everybody.

  We stayed at Dar Qamar to break up a return trip to Marrakech from Merzouga, and we wish we had more time to spend here. The hotel is appears to be down some back street, but what a place it is. Behind the walls is a beautiful pool area and gardens with peacocks. The lounge area was comfortable and there was even some Wifi if you need it. Like many French-run hotels in Morocco you can get wine. - The place is really amazing and beautiful while at first the surroundings and the last 1.5 km might not find your approval (see earlier comments) but this wasn't an issue for us and our stay was very peaceful. A beautiful well maintained garden is surrounding a nice pool area, the amazing patio is inviting to relax, to read, to have a drink.. During our stay the owners (French couple) were absent but the place was well run, good a friendly staff.

  This is my second visit in six months and it did not disappoint. It's a wonderful haven of tranquillity . Rooms are spacious and decor very tastefully done .The staff are superb - most helpful and friendly and very smart in their crisp whites. I look forward to returning again and will reccomend to my friends. I am from hotel background and am usuall - Practically perfect in every way - fantastic rooms (definitely worth getting a sea view to watch the sunset in the evenings), incredible food (there is no reason to go elsewhere to eat - so tasty), lovely staff, short walk to the beach, amazing spa, candles lit in your room and a chocolate left on your pillow every night, lovely pool and poolside service from the staff.   We (a family with 3 children, 11, 12 an 14) really enjoyed our stay here. Eating breakfast in the morning on the terrasse looking out over the mountains was great. The children loved the dog Simsom and the cat. The 'owners' indeed speak little english (but what do you expect from a french speaking country)., but this gave me a nice opportunity to ... co mówią ludzie » practice my french and learn something more about region and Morocco. Wifi was only available on the ground floor, but we piggy-backed on the signal o - The French family is very friendly and helpful:) This place felt good and safe. We arrived quite late after a whole day of driving. Even thought it was quite late,we still got a good meal. We also loved the fact that we got a warm welcome from Monsieur Simson! Very nice rooms with warm shower!
