  I loved this place. The staff were genuine and friendly, and the riad is absolutely gorgeous. We booked the Warda room, which means rose in Arabic, and there were roses and rose petals everywhere inside, which was a nice touch. We couldn't not make use of the huge bathtub and took a relaxing hot bath late at night that put us right to sleep. The couple that manages the Riad is amazing, they will treat you as you have never been greater before (the day we left the husband woke up at 5:30am to prepare us the breakfast because we had to leave at 7:00am). Luckily, we could not choose better than the riad La Fontaine Bleue. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms with a view on the ocean are very nice and comfortable (e.g. the room called Zoulikha). The riad also offers very nice dinners. I offered help and they allowed me to help in the kitchen so that I could learn how to prepare a wonderful couscous royal and chat with the staff about life

It was peaceful, comfortable and perfect for four days in Essaouira. The hotel staff were very helpful at all times. It's an approximate 4 minutes walk to the market area. The view from the terrace is wonderful. The room we stayed in was big and lovely. My wife wants to go back, I'm sure we will one day!

  Casa Lila is amazing! It felt like a real treat. They upgraded us to a bigger room at no charge, and the Rose suite was phenomenal! I loved the bright colors and the design of Casa Lila, and how it felt both old/antique and new/modern at the same time. In the room was the most amazing bath, part of the old Hammam, we were told. The staff was super friendly and helpful, booking us a last minute hammam and massa - The reception staff was very helpful providing a map and locations with restaurant recommendations. The breakfast on the terrace was served by a calming and attentive member of staff and varied each morning. Our suite on the second floor was spacious and quiet. Located in the Medina this riad is close to everything. The terrace area was good for sunbathing and there were loungers on another floor too. Plenty of places to sit comfortably within the riad.

  We had to cancel our first night due to illness, but everybody at Dar Ness was most helpful. All staff were very polite and nothing was too much trouble. It was nice that both James and Elizabeth, the owners, were on hand to chat and provide advice about the area.
