Rental bicycles offer a fun way to explore the temples and city of Nara. Kofuku-ji Temple and JR Nara Station are each a 10-minute walk from the property, and Todai-ji Temple is 2 km away. Kansai Airport is a 100-minute bus ride.
Dormitory rooms have Japanese-style futon bedding on bunk bed frames. Futon bedding is also used in the Japanese-style rooms, paired with a traditional tatami (woven-straw) floor. Towels are available but require an additional charge, and free toiletries are provided. Private rooms have an en suite toilet and shower.
A microwave, fridge, electric kettle and stove are available at the shared kitchen. The reception can store luggage.
No meals are served. Children under 5 years are not allowed. Credit card will be used for guarantee purposes only. When settling the bill, the hotel will accept cash only.

Private room for 4 persons is clean and roomy, I am totally surprised that we got this big room for the price 2400 yen per person.
In the 4 persons room there are power plug of every bed, and a table with 4 chair which is useful to discuss travel plan tomorrow with friends or have meal or sneaks together. There is a showroom and toilet too.
The place is convenient, too. From the Kintetsu Nara station, it only needs to walk few minutes to the GH.

Incredible value for money! I was really surprised to find such a fantastic well kept room for so little money. Our traditional Japanese room was cosy, clean and very modern. The bathroom was also nicely designed. The guest house is conveniently located and, despite some of the comments I read, easy to find. The owner will provide you with a super detailed map and pictures so you cannot go wrong!! The owner is a really nice friendly guy who speaks good english. I cannot recommend this place eno.
Almost everything! The manager, Kobayashi san is such a great guy! He speaks english and is very helpful, he even printed the trains timetable for me for free when I asked for help.
You will be surprised when you enter your room. It's everything SO new and SO clean, he really takes care of everything. The bathroom is spacious and the room is cozy. And oh, the price! So cheap for what you get! Would stay again without thinking twice.
Guest house Iki is a very pleasant place run by nice owner. He was very helpful, spoke good english and provided us with good advice about restaurants and shopping. Guest house is furnished in traditional japaneese style, but the rooms are very clean and new. Also futons are very comfortable. Wi-fi and fully equipped kitchen available. Very centrally located. Probably the best option in Nara with great value for money.
Great value for money, very very clean and guy who run this place was extremely friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to be hospitable and his personal touch was nicer than the anonymous feeling you get at hotel. I would definitely return to this place again and hope to stay few more days. One day in Nara was not long enough to see everything. I would highly recommend it to everyone. Arigatou Jun san.
Great location near the train station and there are various areas and outlets to explore for good food. When I was there we mostly spoke with the manager in Iki. He is really knowledgeable and friendly. He gave you some great advise on good places to eat and explore. There are also some brochures and maps available to help you in exploring Nara as well.
Everything! The owner takes care of the whole place in a best possible way. Rooms are simple, functional and very clean. It is located 10 mins walk from the Nara JR station and about 4 minutes walk to the main dining street. We have stayed 4 nights and were actually sad when we were leaving Nara and Guest House Iki. We will come back one day for sure.
Guest House Iki was definitely the cleanest and most friendly place I got to stay in Japan this time.
Their rooms are so cozy and nice and you can't ask for a better location in Nara to stay because it is just close to all the main attractions you would want to see in Nara.

Jun the owner was a super pleasant guy to deal with and was very helpful and informative. Great location, great rooms all equiped with a private modern shower and toilet, great facility with a full kitchen and fridge, budget friendly and family friendly.
Great little hotel. Rooms have brand new Ikea-esque furniture. Simple, clean, comfortable and in the center of town. Naras main shopping district is just up the road. Staff speaks great English too.

Iki has an ideal location for shopping, temples, shrines, deer and train station. The owner is lovely and accommodating and I recommend this place to anyone visiting Nara. It's extremely clean, warming and the beds are super comfy :).

The room was spacious. Staff was nice. He let us borrow umbrellas when it was raining. We didn't go far (not even to the Deer Park) as it was raining hard so I felt my day was wasted.

The check in time is a little late, isn't it? 3 p.m for checking out at 10 a.m? I'm paying to stay just 19 hours, and that bothers me a little, but that's all. Would be better to allow a late check out, at least.

The strong smell of seaweed in the tatami room. There was a typhoon and it was raining hard that night so opening the windows was not ideal. Sink is tiny.
