  The service and comfort in this hotel is exquisite. If you are going as a couple in Japan and are tired of small rooms then try the superior double room at this hotel. The beds are huge!! Its location was a little far from tourist areas, however it is conveniently located near a subway station and the hotel shuttle helps you get to the train station. The staff helps you in giving directions. - Check in/out with storage service at Kyoto train station is a really convenient one. The rooms are surprisingly big and cozy with superb city view. Location is excellent to access the Nanjio temple and other famous spot. Dining and caual walking in this area are superb.

  Staff were friendly and we tried to tip the valet, but she refused our money and later we were advised by Japanese friends that this is customary as hotel already charges tax.   Excellent location in the centre of Kyoto, it is near various places of interest and additionally the hotel is above underground station which makes getting around Kyoto a breeze. With three beds, the room still has a lot of space. And bathroom is large, too, which surprised us because we thought hotel rooms in Japan were very small. The staff here are very nice and warm. The location is great: it connects the subway station, and you can take a leisure walk at night by Yuka.

I've lodged at many fine hotels across the glob - 1) Breakfast - European buffet was to die for!! they cook ham in front of your eyes, excellent choice of fruit, muesli, sausages, fish. 2) Spacious room. 3) Staff speaks good English and very helpful, allowed us to leave our luggage for free for 3 days even when we left for Tokyo and then didn't come back to Hyatt again. 4) Locality is really convenient for both sightseeing (next to Kyoto Museum and various temples) and logistics point (5 min from train/shinkansen station)

  The hotel was excellent value for money and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with more space than expected. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The Concierge was very helpful. There are not a lot of places to visit near to the hotel, but it is only a short walk to the stop for the bus to Gion. The hotel shuttle bus is great for getting to the station, from where you can get transport around the whole city.
