  Loved the Japanese-style room-very spacious and comfortable and we got a view of Mt. Fuji, also enjoyed the private onsen (with reservation), staff was very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions - I stayed in 3 different Ryokans in Lake Kawaguchiko in this trip, the onsen in Oike Hotel is the BEST.   I stayed in two seperate rooms over two days on opposite sides of the hotel. The first had a wonderful view of Mt. Also loved that the staff had a good recommendation for a restaurant when we wanted a kind of food that was not represented on the hotel restaurant list. Staff was helpful.
