Situated right in front of Lake Kawaguchi, Kawaguchiko Hotel offers accommodations with classic modern decors in a historic building. The air-conditioned rooms feature a seating area, a TV and a fridge. Guests can choose between Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) floors and Western-style rooms with carpeted floors and a sofa. All rooms come with an en suite bathroom. Guests can enjoy having a barbecue at the spacious garden or rent bicycles to tour the area. A sauna and karaoke rooms are available as well. Western dishes are served at the hotel’s restaurant. Hotel Kawaguchiko is a 15-minute train ride from Fujikyu Highland and a 10-minute drive from Fuji Omuro Sengen Shrine.

Not much. History, this hotel has been the same since 1930's where the Emperor of Japan stays there for his honeymoon before he started WWII. But the staffs were very helpful, although there were only 3 staffs to serve the entire hotel of 200 rooms, still they are very helpful. Too cold in the room. Very run down. This hotel is so old that they should convert it into a museum or movie studio for Japanese horror movies, it is so spooky that no guests dare to venture out after dark. Most of the rooms are old, the spa no longer work, toilet is smelly due to old usage and aircon does not works in most room, we have to change 3 times to get a decent working aircon.
