Set in an ex-hunting lodge in the Marche quiet countryside, Villa Barocco is 8 km from Urbino. It offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and elegant rooms with an LCD TV and an iPod docking station. The villa is completely non smoking and is decorated in an ornate Baroque style. Rooms have brightly coloured furnishings, luxurious fabrics and feature a DVD player, a tea/coffee maker and garden views. A generous buffet breakfast is provided daily. Guests can enjoy smoked salmon, croissants and fresh fruit, washed down with Nespresso coffee or herbal tea. The Republic of San Marino is 43 km from the Barocco. The beaches of Fano are a 50-minute drive away.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Barocco. About 15min from Urbino, a 'strada bianca' brings you to this very nice place. The rooms (and the whole house) are very special decorated in the Baroque style of course. They serve a very good breakfast to Italian standards. The beautiful pool has a breath taking view over the Le Marche valley. The owners of the B&B were very helpful. They advised us several good restaurants in the neighborhood as well as what to visit.

We were looked after extremely well by our hosts who spoke four languages between them !! A great place to base yourself for a wonderful relaxing holiday or as a stop over on a long journey. Urbino the nearest town was lovely - Le Marche is a great region to explore and I'm sure we will return soon. Everything!...the host was lovely, very friendly and helpful, he and his wife have created an amazing, unique B and B in a truly beautiful place. The bed was so comfortable, breakfast (by candle light!) fantastic. Loved staying there and was really touched when given a CD of some of the excellent jazz played throughout the hotel during our stay...thank you very much Thierry for helping to make our last stop in a fabulous 3 week trip so special. . We had a wonderful stay in Villa Barocco. Firstly, the hosts were very welcoming, also the Decor is quirky, the breakfast is gourmet and the location is on a ridge overlooking verdant valleys and about 6km to Urbino. If occassionaly you like to stay just out of town, this is fantastic. - Great place, decorated in a very original style with a lot of attention for details. - We had a very comfortable sleeping room with a separate sitting room. - The hosts are very enthousiastic and welcoming. - View from the house is beautiful. - Very good breakfast. Great service, excellent location, best breakfast EVER! Nice rooms, great ambiance and great location. Love it, love it, love it! I hope to be back soon!. The road to the property was abit tricky but well worth the effort. - Nothing went wrong. This B&B was really a great experience. I should have stayed longer! Best place in Urbino!. Nothing. The road leading to Villa Barocco is unsealed and narrow but that is a minor quibble. There were no screens on the windows - which meant we couldnt open them as there was no mosquito net. Too hot at night as a result. Also we came on a moto and there are a few stretches on the last kilometer dirt road where it is a little bit sketchy if you dont have knobby tires.
