  Fabulous B&B. We stayed in the apartment which was like home from home. The cupboard was stocked with the essentials and the fridge with beer, wine and water. The breakfast was superb. Homemade pancakes, croissants and delicious jams and marmalades. Everything one might need to take to the beach is available to borrow.   Really enjoyed fantastic location overlooking the sea but in the centro storico.. Quirky apartment, clean and well run.. Antonio looked after us very well and made us feel very at home.. Fantastic shared terrassa . great place to stay..   Its a good situated hotel. We spend a week in the apartment and we loved it. Personal was realy kind and the apartment was clean and the beds oke. 1 minut away there is a big supermarket. The pool is lovely. In frond of the hotel is the see and lovely restaurants on the beach. Superplace to stay. Nice place to stay! - Lovely apartment with 2 balconies - one facing the street with partial sea view off the lounge and the balcony off the bedroom faced the pool and had a sea view. The beds were comfortable and we had extra blankets for the nippy nights (we went in early May). Location is a nice 20 minute walk from the old town and there is a beautiful prominade all the way. Loved Alghero and LOVED Residence Picalé.

As English speakers we were in the minority but the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, particularly in booking us a taxi on arrival and with general information about what to do and where to go.   We had a great stay at the Residence Le Fontane. Surprisingly the apartments are much nicer in real life than in the photographs. Each apartment has its own small private balcony. There wasnt a table and chairs on the balcony but we just took out the ones from the apartment.
