  We were met at the reception by 'Gina' who was courteous and pleasant. We were offered a glass of proseco in the garden, taking in the view of Capri, while we waited for our room.   Great, great, great. What not to like? Very relaxed, friendly and helpful staff. Great view. Quiet but only a few 100 meters from the beginning of the main shopping area. Like all hotels in Capri uptown you have to walk from the funicolare or taxistand on the main square to the hotel. This takes 10 minutes or so.   Location, Location, Location - when reading reviews on where to stay in Positano I read over and over again to try to stay "down" and it is true. Much easier to walk up the streets to go to dinner at night and then walk down to go to bed than the other way around. From the minute we walked in the front doors we felt as if we were treasured guests. Everyon - My wife and I travelled to this hotel as part of our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. The town itself it beautiful and the hotel is located in the very best location - right on the beach so you get a view of the sea, the throngs of tourists and the town - however when we sat on our balcony we felt it was also very peaceful and relaxed - like a small oasis.
